Local Movers Focused on the Community

During this freezing and slow month of February our team stayed busy helping out The Father Fred Foundation. We were able to collect their donation boxes as well as sorting at their warehouse. Our CORE PURPOSE as you may know is to MOVE PEOPLE FORWARD®. That is why we take every chance we get to give back to the community and lend a hand to local charities.

2016 kicked off our first year that we participate in Movers for Mutts to benefit the many animal organizations with Bark in the Park Traverse City and we are excited to participate again August of 2017. We are gathering partners now so please contact our office if you are interested in assisting with this cause! Keep tuned for updated information in Helping Abused Neglected Disabled Displaced Souls (H.A.N.D.D.S to the Rescue) 

We would like to thank everyone that helped make this year's MOVERS FOR MOMS® campaign a success. We were able to support two organizations that make a difference in our community by collecting many donations to deliver for Mother's Day. This is a yearly campaign that we have been a part of since it began in 2007 and we are already looking forward to next year. 

Special thanks to Oleson's, Long Lake Elementary, and Blair Elementary for hosting boxes for donations. Having locations around town to make donating convenient is essential to the success of this effort to support mothers in need. 

We also want to shout out The Womans Resource Center and Generations Ahead, our partners this year. What a great service you both provide. We are so happy to be able to show our appreciation.

Our third Annual Truckload of Warmth was beyond record-breaking! We received so many donations we had to expand the number of charities which would benefit from warm winter apparel. We were so lucky to have been a part of keeping Northern Michigan warm in our frigid winter months. We will be kicking off 2017 in September with the help of KHQ and Eastfield Laundry and are excited to begin our community partnerships, please call the office if your business is interested in partnering!

We are gearing up for our annual MOVERS FOR MILITARY® campaign where the goal is to provide essential items to veterans and their families. On any given night, about 131,000 veterans are homeless. We want to show support and appreciation for the sacrifices they have made for our country. We are looking for donations from businesses and/or locations to host drop-off boxes in the Traverse City office. Any contribution is very much appreciated. We are back at it this year, helping out with the Christmas Drive, Toys of Tots! 

It's that time of the year when we start collecting toys for TOYS FOR TOTS.  This is our 16th year as a PROUD corporate sponsor for Toys for Tots. We love helping in any way we can with the collection of toys, to help put a smile on a child's face during the holiday season.  We will have a listing of all drop-off locations on our website soon. You can always drop off your toy donation at our office at 1348 S.
