Our 2026 Movers for Moms® collection drive has officially wrapped, and we’re beyond grateful for the support we received from the San Diego community this year.

Thanks to the generosity of our amazing local partners and everyone who donated, we collected close to 40 boxes filled with thousands of essential and comfort items for mothers experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity throughout San Diego County.

All donations were delivered to Father Joe’s Villages ahead of their Mother’s Day pop-up event, helping create a meaningful and uplifting experience for local moms in need.

This year’s donations included everyday essentials and thoughtful self-care items designed to bring comfort, dignity, and support to mothers rebuilding their lives. From toiletries and personal care products to cozy gifts and care items, every donation made a difference.

This fall, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® San Diego is proud to continue our annual MOVERS FOR MILITARY® donation drive, collecting essential items for local veterans supported by Veterans Village of San Diego (VVSD).

Since 2012, we've been committed to giving back to those who have served our country. Every year, our community comes together to help provide veterans with everyday essentials, comfort items, and supplies that support their needs.

What is MOVERS FOR MILITARY®?

MOVERS FOR MILITARY® is TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®'s annual donation drive supporting veterans in need. Each fall, our San Diego team partners with local businesses, schools, and community organizations to collect essential items for veterans supported by Veterans Village of San Diego (VVSD).

We provide collection boxes and coordinate pickups, making it easy for our community to come together and give back in time for Veterans Day.

Who benefits from MOVERS FOR MILITARY®?

Donations benefit veterans supported by Veterans Village of San Diego (VVSD), an organization that helps local veterans facing challenges such as homelessness, substance use, and mental health concerns. Your contributions help provide essential supplies and everyday comforts to veterans working toward stability and recovery.

How can I help?

There are several ways to get involved in MOVERS FOR MILITARY®:

• Host a collection box. Local businesses, schools, and community organizations can partner with us to collect donations and encourage others to participate.
• Donate essential items. Gather new or gently used items from our wish list and help support local veterans.
• Drop off donations at our warehouse. Bring your donations directly to TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® San Diego at 9245 Farnham Street, San Diego, CA 92123.
• Spread the word. Share our drive with friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors to help us reach more people.

Every donation counts, and together, we can make a meaningful difference for local veterans!

What's on the MOVERS FOR MILITARY® Wish List?

We're collecting new and gently used items to help meet veterans' everyday needs.

Gently Used Items

• Men's clothing, especially sizes XXL and larger
• Outerwear, including sweaters, sweatshirts, hoodies, and jackets
• Pants, including sweatpants, jeans, and cargo pants
• Beanies, baseball hats, and gloves
• Backpacks and tote bags
• Towels, blankets, and sleeping bags
• Chess, checkers, and other strategy games
• Craft and art supplies

New Items

• Socks and underwear for men and women
• Hygiene products, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, chapstick, razors, deodorant, shaving cream, combs, brushes, feminine hygiene products, lotion, and hand sanitizer
• Pillows
• Notebooks, journals, planners, and calendars

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® San Diego has partnered with Veterans Village of San Diego (VVSD) as our donation partner for eight years in a row. VVSD assists homeless veterans who have substance abuse and/or mental health issues, including men and women who have recently returned from Iraq and Afghanistan.

In 2019, the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® San Diego team worked closely with collection partners across the county, including local schools, businesses and customers to collect 50 boxes of more than 3,000 donations of gently used clothing and toiletry items for local veterans in need served by VVSD.

In addition to our charity events, we participate in a variety of local community events each year like the Coronado Holiday Parade, North Park Toyland Parade and St. Patty’s Day Parade. Say hi if you see us!
