Movers for Moms® - 2017

Our fifth annual Movers for Moms® campaign was a success! This Mother’s Day we were able to deliver more than 30 boxes of critical care items and household goods to women served by People Assisting the Homeless (PATH). Donations benefited women who were moving from homelessness into housing, with little to no personal belongings.

Movers for Moms® is annual collection drive we organize to help local women in need, and to show them they are remembered and supported on Mother’s Day. Each year we partner with San Diego schools, businesses and organizations to make this possible.

Special thanks to our 2017 collection drive partners:

  • St. Augustine High School
  • The Kids Bay Learning Center
  • University of San Diego –Veterans Center
  • Harley Davidson
  • Team Wellness
  • Providential Real Estate
  • HomeStreet Bank
  • Mindstream Media

We are always welcoming additional collection partners. If you or someone you know would like to get involved in Movers for Moms® or Movers for Military®, please contact us!

Coming up: Movers for Military!

At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® San Diego, we were proud to help local veterans in need through our 6th Annual Movers for Military® program this fall. The goal of Movers for Military is to thank those who have served our country by providing essential care items, such as clothing and personal hygiene items, to our local veterans who are facing homelessness.

We welcome the support of local organizations who hold collection drives for this great cause. We provide the collection boxes, posters and wish list, and we coordinate the delivery of donations to Veterans Village of San Diego in time for Veterans Day. If you would like to participate in the Movers for Military collection drive, please contact our office!

Veterans Village of San Diego

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® San Diego has partnered with Veterans Village of San Diego (VVSD) as our donation partner for six years in a row. VVSD assists homeless veterans who have substance abuse and/or mental health issues, including men and women who have recently returned from Iraq and Afghanistan.

In 2016, the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® San Diego team worked closely with collection partners across the county, including local schools, businesses and customers to collect 50 boxes of more than 3,000 donations of gently used clothing and toiletry items for local veterans in need served by VVSD.

Other Community Service Work

At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® San Diego, one of our core values is Give Back to the Community. We enjoy being involved in any way possible, and we are always looking for new ways to serve our community. Below are just a few of the non-profit organizations that we have worked with in the past:
