In Part 1 of our Crate Value Flex interview, we sat down with Lena, Sales Manager at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® San Diego, to answer some of the most common questions customers have about this long-distance moving option.
But there’s a lot to keep in mind when preparing for a long-distance move. From packing and inventory changes to delivery timelines and protecting your belongings, we want to make sure your move goes as smoothly as possible from start to finish.
So, we’re continuing our conversation with Lena to cover a few more things you should know before your Crate Value Flex move.
Q: What should I do before moving day?
Lena: Being prepared makes a big difference. Anything that can fit inside a box should already be packed before the movers arrive.
If you need some help, we also offer professional packing services. Our team can help make sure your belongings are packed and ready to go.
We can also arrange custom boxes for things like televisions, musical instruments, or large artificial plants before your move.
Q: What about fragile or valuable items?
Lena: For fragile items like antiques, marble tabletops, glass pieces, or artwork, additional crating is available for extra protection.
It's always a good idea to let us know about these items ahead of time so we can make sure we have the right materials and plan for moving them safely.
Q: Can I change my inventory after I book?
Lena: Yes, but don't wait until moving day.
Since your pricing is based on the inventory you're moving, we recommend updating your list at least three days before your scheduled load date.
The more accurate your inventory is, the more accurate your estimate will be.
Q: What do customers say about Crate Value Flex?
Lena: We've had customers choose us even after finding lower-priced options because they felt more comfortable with the level of service and professionalism we provide.
One customer told us:
“You guys are a little bit more expensive, but I feel the professionalism with you guys is way better, so we feel a lot more comfortable with you guys.”
Another customer shared:
“Your website, my interaction with you has really sealed the deal for us. We feel a lot better even though the price is higher.”
For us, it's always great to hear that customers feel comfortable trusting our team with their belongings, especially when they're moving long distance.
Q: What would you tell someone preparing for a Crate Value Flex move?
Lena: Don't wait until the last minute to get ready. Make sure your inventory is updated, have your boxes packed, and let us know about anything that needs special protection.
Moving long distance can feel overwhelming, but having a plan and the right team to help you can make the process a lot easier.
