HR Intern - Olivia M.

Olivia is currently in her Senior year at Capital University. Over the summer, she participated in the HR internship program here at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®. While her time with us has come to an end, we are proud to see where her next steps take her! Our interns are a huge part of TMT, the program offers hands-on experience in recruiting, onboarding, and more! It is a great opportunity for students to build their skills in HR while also being a part of a dynamic team.

Before Olivia begins her next chapter, we asked her some fun exit interview questions:

What's one thing you have learned here that you'll take with you into your career?

I have learned so much through my HR internship at TMT. However, if I had to pick one, I would say that adaptability is a superpower and a great skill that I learned here and can apply to my future career!

What surprised you most about working in HR?

I was surprised by how people-oriented HR truly was. It was truly outstanding to see how personable HR is and how they strive to keep such an ethos!

If you could give the next HR Intern one piece of advice, what would it be?

Try and soak up as much knowledge and information that you can in your time here. There is so much you can learn from the HR internship at TMT. My advice would be to try and make the most out of your time here!

Favorite lunch spot near the office?

McDonalds is fighting for first place here, but Popeyes comes in a close second!

Describe your internship in three words.

Insightful, Collaborative, and Enjoyable

What's next for you after this internship?

I will be graduating this year from Capital University with a bachelor's in Business Management and a Minor in HR. After I graduate, I hope to begin my career and become an HR Admin!

What's a career goal you're excited to work toward?

A career goal I have is to eventually become a part of a compensations and benefits team. I am excited for the milestones and steps in between!
