We are celebrating!!! It's hard to believe that it has been 24 years since we opened the doors on the first TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® in South Florida. We can't help but reflect on the journey we've embarked on and the tremendous growth we've experienced over the years. Just like the iconic slogan, "You've come a long way, baby," our "little" moving company has evolved, expanded, and faced challenges head-on to become a trusted leader in the Broward, Miami, and Palm Beach market. Join us as we take a trip down memory lane to explore how our moving company embodies the spirit of progress, empowerment, and determination; and compare a few of the differences between where we were in 1999 and where we are now in 2023.
- Locations:
Twenty-four years ago, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK's first South Florida office was a small storefront on Orange Drive. We still have our primary location on Orange Drive, but we are so much more than the hand full of staff and owners from those early days. With a passion for delivering exceptional moving services and a commitment to customer satisfaction; we now have four locations in Pembroke Pines, Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach, and South Palm Beach.
- Empowering Our Customers:
When we first opened, there was an absence of reliable, trustworthy moving companies in South Florida. Our competitors frequently received visits from the FBI (not kidding) to make sure they included the fuel price in the estimates. Sadly, this is still the case with many movers. We knew we could do better. We believe in empowering our customers throughout their moving journey. From offering transparent pricing, detailed estimates, and professional packing tips, we strive to make the moving process as stress-free and seamless as possible. Our commitment to exceptional service has earned us the trust and loyalty of countless families and businesses over the years.
- Embracing Innovation:
To stay ahead in a constantly evolving industry, we've always embraced innovation. From investing in modern, well-maintained moving equipment to implementing efficient logistics systems, we've leveraged technology to enhance our services. Our state-of-the-art tracking tools keep customers informed about their moves in real time, giving them peace of mind during this significant transition.
- Expanding Horizons:
Just like the women who broke barriers in the 20th century (including our own owner), we've expanded our horizons beyond traditional moving services. Over the years, we've broadened our scope to include interstate moves, corporate relocations, and specialized moving solutions. This diversification has allowed us to serve a more extensive clientele and cater to a variety of unique moving needs.
- Employees and Trucks:
As we have grown, so have our staffing needs. We were always more than just "two men" and "one truck" here in South Florida. In fact, we started with two trucks and just barely enough staff to man them (including one of our owners). Over the years we have grown to more than 40 trucks and 100 office and operations staff members who all work with the goal of elevating the customer experience and Moving South Florida Forward.
- Community Engagement:
We understand the importance of giving back to the communities that have supported us for 24 years. Throughout our journey, we've participated in various charitable initiatives, from partnering with local organizations (Winterfest, Riverwalk, and many others) to organizing donation drives (Movers for Moms; Hurricane Relief; American Cancer Society, and many more.). Our commitment to community engagement reinforces our belief in making a positive impact beyond the moving services we offer.
As we celebrate our 24th anniversary, we are humbled by the journey we've taken and the incredible support we've received from our customers, partners, and team members. Just like the slogan that symbolized empowerment and progress, our moving company has come a long way, and we couldn't have done it without you! Looking to the future, we are excited about continuing to serve our customers with the same dedication and enthusiasm that brought us to this milestone.
