At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Tulsa, being involved in our community is one of the most important parts of what we do. Every year, we look forward to participating in one of our favorite local events — Tulsa’s annual Bike Club ride and bicycle giveaway event.
This year’s event was another incredible success, and we were honored to help transport and organize hundreds of bicycles for local students who earned them through the Bike Club program.
What Is the Bike Club Program?
The Bike Club program teaches elementary students from all over Tulsa the importance of bicycle safety, responsibility, and healthy activity throughout the school year. Students work hard to complete the program requirements, participate in bike safety education, and earn their very own bicycle to keep.
For many of these kids, this is their first bike — making the day incredibly exciting and meaningful for both the students and the volunteers involved.
How TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Tulsa Helps
Our team assisted by picking up and transporting bicycles from schools across the Tulsa area and delivering them to the Tulsa BMX facility, where the event begins.
This year, we proudly filled seven trucks with over 700 bikes to help ensure every child received theirs safely and on time.
Once the bikes are organized by school, students arrive by bus to enjoy BMX demonstrations and activities before participating in the highly anticipated group ride to Gathering Place Tulsa.
Seeing the excitement on the kids’ faces when they receive their bikes is something our team looks forward to every year.
More Than Moving
At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Tulsa, we believe moving people forward goes beyond moving boxes. Events like this allow us to give back to the community that supports us year-round.
We are grateful to partner with the incredible sponsors, schools, volunteers, and organizers who make this event possible each year. It’s a reminder of what can happen when local businesses and community organizations come together for a great cause.
