Community Service in Charlevoix
Our community support is an important part of our local brand. Take a look at how we are growing in our community in the beautiful Petoskey!
Your "Movers Who Care®" are back at it again, supporting the global TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Movers for Moms® campaign. We have been a part of this campaign since the beginning, and excited to say we are participating again this year!
Are you ready for it? kick off starts april 4, 2022
This year, Northern Michigan is looking to beat records when it comes to how many items we can donate to the Women's Resource Center for our annual Movers for Moms® charity. The goal is for single mothers to feel special for Mother's Day this year. Though we will accept all items, much-needed items will include:
- Bed Sheets (Twin, Full)
- Snacks for all
- Toiletries
- Slippers
- Socks
- Towels and Wash Cloths
- Diapers and Wipes
You are able to drop anything off at our local Petoskey office where you will find our Movers for Moms® box out front. If you don't have time to pick something up from the store, that's no problem! We also have an Amazon wish list set up for them. Contact your local office to learn more.
Featured Community Service
The Father Fred Foundation
Want to know what our team is filling extra time with during a slow wintery season? We have been giving back to our community by partnering up with The Father Fred Foundation. During their annual Frostbite Food Drive, we collected donation boxes and helped sort them. We are thankful to spend our extra time by helping this organization fulfill its mission and look forward to working with them in the future.
Find out what you can do to help The Father Fred Foundation by calling their Traverse City location at (231) 947-2055 or visiting their website www.fatherfred.org.
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Campaigns
Movers for Military
Our annual MOVERS FOR MILITARY® campaign is soon to begin. Every year we partner with local organizations to show support and appreciation to our local veterans. The National Coalition for Homeless Veterans states that about 1 out of 3 of the adult homeless population are veterans. We will be collecting donated goods such as hygiene and self-care items to deliver to our local veteran families.
If you are interested in a potential partnership this year, please call our office. We appreciate any contribution!
Movers for Moms®
MOVERS FOR MOMS® 2024 is over, and we would like to thank all of our partners as well as the community for their contributions this year. We had two new local partners host drop off locations. We look forward to next year and hopefully finding more ways to get the word out. We are proud to say that we have been participating in this cause for all 17 years. Being a small woman-owned business, it is one that is close to our hearts. Every mom knows that times can be tough and we are not always shown appreciation.
Honor Area Insurance as well as Swensen Memorial reached out to us to host a box this year. Having the additional boxes out really makes a difference. As always we would like to give a special thanks to Long Lake Elementary, Blair Elementary, Olesons West and Olesons Hammond Rd for continuing their support of this cause. This year we utilized Amazon wish lists to make donating even easier if you cannot get to a box location.
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Northern Michigan collected over 500 donations and delivered them to The Woman's Resource Center on Friday May 10th. We are hoping to collect more next year and the more community involvement we have, the better! If you are interested in finding out what you can do, please call our office!
Truckload of Warmth
In 2015 our Charlevoix location participated in our Truckload of Warmth campaign for the first time. Our mission is to collect new and gently used cold-weather clothing items, have them professionally cleaned to give back to those in need throughout the community.
