We just wrapped up our second annual Glam It Forward event with our friends at Mix 95.7, and it was an incredible success!
This event was created to give local girls the opportunity to receive a prom dress at no cost. When Mix 95.7 first approached us with the idea last year, they had over 1,000 dresses in storage, and we knew many people in the community could benefit.
This year, we put a major focus on gathering new donations, and the response was amazing! Thanks to the generosity of our community, we received hundreds of dresses, along with shoes and accessories, ensuring that attendees had a wide selection to choose from.
The event took place on March 29th at our Comstock Park office from 11 AM to 3 PM, but excitement started early—families began lining up at 9 AM, eager to find the perfect dress. From start to finish, we saw a steady stream of attendees, and we are incredibly grateful that we could help make prom night special for so many.
This wouldn’t have been possible without our incredible partners, including Uptown Cheapskate, Hot Tropics Tanning, Paul Mitchell the School, and Party Balloon Studio, along with our dedicated volunteers. Their support made the experience even more memorable by providing jewelry, shoes, and special discounts to complete each look.
In total, we gave away over 200 dresses, along with countless accessories and beauty items. We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who donated, attended, and volunteered. Your generosity made this event unforgettable, and we can’t wait to make it even bigger and better next year!
