This month's Driver of the Month goes to Mike Blood with 11 years of dedication, they exemplify excellence in every mile driven. Not just a driver, but a mentor, team player, and customer service champ! Their commitment to our values shines bright, making every journey smooth and every interaction memorable. Here's to our outstanding colleague, inspiring us all with their passion and professionalism!
Tim started the franchise in 1993 in Madison with one truck and two movers. He took orders himself and helped on the truck nights and weekends - working his regular full-time job during the day.In those early years, orders were taken by phone, hand-written in a paper book, and drivers called from pay phones in between moves. His growth goals were modest. "I thought if I could make it to three trucks in five years, I would have arrived," he remembers of those early years. "That seemed like a huge goal at the time."
Today, the Madison franchise runs 25 trucks during the summertime and he's proud to have a staff of more than 80.
His goals today, 20 years later, focus more on giving back to the industry, his community and developing his staff. "I get huge satisfaction," he says, "from watching our people learn and develop, and achieving their own dreams."
Tim volunteers his time to the International Franchise Association, a group that helps promote the benefits of franchising and entrepreneurship, and has served as a panelist at an annual meeting of franchisors, hosted by Faegre BD, which focuses on sharing best practices and current trends in the industry. He was one of the first franchisees ever to be invited to be part of this event which traditionally includes just franchisors.
When he's not working, Tim enjoys spending time with his wife, Sheri, teenage daughter, biking, and hunting up north.

Lisa has been an integral part of the office for more than 20 years. She works closely with operations, finance, sales, and marketing managers to ensure that each franchise meets its business goals. It's a big job with a lot of moving parts, but Lisa thrives when interacting with teams and navigating the daily challenges of a thriving franchise group.
"I love working here," she says. "Over the past 14 years, I can honestly say that each day presents different rewards and challenges. We are constantly growing and with growth comes change, and with change comes challenges. But I love being challenged and it's why I've been a part of this team for so long! We tend to have a competitive side to us in which we all desire to be the best. That means being a leader to our team members, in the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® system, in the moving industry as a whole and of course, in the community. We strive to be our best day-in and day-out. While at times that can be exhausting, the benefits of watching team members grow and excel far outweigh any of the negative."
In addition to being busy in the office, Lisa is a busy mom to three girls. A native of McFarland, Wisconsin, she and her husband, Chad, have made their home there, close to family and friends.
When she's not in the office, she and the family enjoy summer cookouts, boating, downtown Madison fun, travel, and skiing.

Matthew knows that businesses can’t exist without people. He describes his primary role as general manager as “taking care of people” and helping them develop and become successful.
When he first started at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, Matthew was new to the technical aspects of the job—dealing with transportation and selling over the phone was a whole new world. But his extensive retail management experience means that he was right at home motivating large teams toward shared goals.
The advice he would share with someone thinking about working at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK is not to be afraid to get out of their comfort zone.
“This may not be the type of job you were initially going for and you might not understand what it’s all about yet, but this job is about more than work. We’ll train you for the work. If you take the time to learn more about the organization and the people, you will see its diversity. As part of that, you will grow—whether by gaining new friends or developing new skills. Each person on the team brings something special to the table.”

Shea says her biggest superpower is her ability to work and lead with empathy.
“I want everyone I work with to know that I care about them beyond the work that we are accomplishing together. A team that cares is a team that is successful.”
Shea says her favorite thing about working at TMAT is the culture. “I enjoy everyone who works here,” she said. From the CEO, movers and drivers, and OPS managers at different locations, everyone is always welcoming and helpful.”
In past jobs, Shea has worked in sales, operations, inventory management, IT, and hiring. “Through all of these experiences, my favorite part is always connecting to people and enriching their lives as much as I can in the time I have with them” said Shea.
Shea’s friends, family, and coworkers describe her as caring, fun and dedicated. She’s always the first to do anything that will help the team—and with a smile on her face! She’s game for uplifting conversation, actual heavy lifting, or problem resolution! Just bring it!

Tyna first heard about TWO MEN AND A TRUCK from her dad.
“Back in the early days of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Madison, Tim, the founder, kept some of his trucks on a lot of my father’s business in Oregon, Wisconsin,” Tyna said. “Dad would help make sure the trucks were up and running on cold mornings. I remember him mentioning this ‘young guy’ starting up ‘that Two Men and a Truck moving deal.’ Now I work here—what a coincidence.”
In her operations role, Tyna is responsible for helping our teams move forward with excellence every day. In a sense, she’s passing on a gift she received from her grandmother. “My grandmother was THE person who ALWAYS believed in me and helped me move forward in life,” she said. “I believe she is still with me and watching over me.”
Sometimes described as intense, Tyna prefers the word “passionate.” In addition, she truly does not like the spotlight. “I like to do things for others without them knowing it,” she says.
So far her favorite thing about working at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK is the people.

Becca has been a huge asset to the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK team since joining in 2008. A native of Kaukauna, Wis., she made her way to Madison in 1999 to attend UW-Madison where she studied music education. While in school, she was a proud member of the UW Marching Band—and she's been marching forward ever since! Customers frequently comment on Becca's exceptionally cheerful and helpful attitude toward everyone—internal staff and customers alike.
"What I like best about my job are the people I work with and the customers," she said. "TWO MEN AND A TRUCK is my second family, and I love going home at night feeling gratified for the help I provided to my coworkers, as well as meeting and exceeding customer expectations." Becca understands that moving is a stressful time for our customers. "Knowing that I was part of helping people move forward in life is a total blessing," she said. When Becca isn't booking moves, she enjoys spending as much time as possible with her family. She also enjoys spending time outdoors gardening, fishing, flying kites, and going on nature walks. Photography is also a passion of hers. "I love capturing photos of sunsets, sunrises, storms, and really cool clouds! In the winter, I like to max out on in-home projects, like painting, reorganizing, decluttering, and remodeling. I'm starting to pick up my trumpet again, too."

In her role as a move consultant, Sacha helps set up moves, explains the move process, and troubleshoots possible issues to secure her clients the most economical, seamless, and stress-free move possible.
“It always feels good to know I did my job well,” Sacha says. “It makes me remember why I’m here.”
Sacha appreciates the flexibility that TWO MEN AND A TRUCK allows her to be there for her kids, which is very important to her. She also says the people she works with—from supervisors, office mates, and crews—are a good combination of healthy competition and support.
The biggest lessons Sacha has learned at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK are to “be ready to work with a wide range of personalities and to have the detail-oriented mindset of a team player.” She also says not to take “no’s” from people personally but to instead “focus on the people who thank you for helping them through a stressful time.”
At the end of the day, Sacha loves that she gets to go to work with some of her best friends while also modeling a strong work ethic for her kids. Win-win.
