Giving back to the Fort Worth community
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Campaigns
Movers for Moms®
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK developed MOVERS FOR MOMS® 14 years ago as a way to help domestic abuse victims on a local level. Each Spring, we join hundreds of other TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchises in this annual charity drive.
Our beneficiary, SafeHaven of Tarrant County(opens in a new window), notes that since the COVID-19 pandemic began, they are in need of donations now more than ever. Once again we will be helping provide them with much-needed essential care items through a collection drive.
Movers for Mutts®
At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, animals are part of the family! That's why we do Movers for Mutts® in support of local animal charities. Last year we helped Don't Forget to Feed Me by donating equipment, labor, and services to transport 12 tons of dog food to their warehouse in Fort Worth. The food was then distributed to local food banks to help families in need of food for their beloved pets.
If your business would like to help us out with any of our future collection drives, please reach out to Jen Merkel, Marketing Manager.
Local Partners
SafeHaven of Tarrant County
In Tarrant County, one in three women will be affected by domestic abuse in their lifetime. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Fort Worth has chosen SafeHaven as the recipient of our annual Movers for Moms® supply drive. SafeHaven's services include emergency shelter, long-term housing assistance, counseling, legal services, and resources to help victims of domestic abuse find their independence. They also offer prevention and reformative services, to help families form healthy relationships and strong foundations for children. With the exception of their reformative services, all support is provided to community members free of charge. If you are a victim of domestic violence and are in need of assistance, please call the SafeHaven hotline: 1-877-701-SAFE (7233).
Each year, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Fort Worth supports SafeHaven's efforts with our Movers for Moms donation drive. If you'd like to help, contact Jen Merkel.
CONVOY OF HOPE
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK is proud to partner with Convoy of Hope(opens in a new window), a faith-based, non-profit organization that helps those who have experienced devastating emergencies like natural disasters. Since they began in 1998, Convoy of Hope has responded to 379 disaster areas. They most recently came to the aid of residents in Abaco, The Bahamas after Hurricane Dorian devastated the area, leaving thousands of residents with out food, water, or homes. Not only do we partner with Convoy of Hope by offering our trucks, labor, and services to them, ten cents of every move system-wide is donated directly to the charity's efforts.
Don't Forget to Feed Me
When a family is working through hard financial times, it can be difficult to put food on the table, let alone provide food for beloved pets. Don't Forget to Feed Me is a 501(c)3 charity that collects all types of pet food, then distributes it to food banks throughout Fort Worth and North Texas. We're proud to have Don't Forget to Feed Me as one of our Movers for Mutts® beneficiaries.
Animal Hope
Animal Hope(opens in a new window) is a 501(c)3 charity that serves pets in North Texas by rescuing them from area shelters. They then work to provide training and medical care when needed, before finding the pet's forever home. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK is proud to support Animal Hope through our Movers For Mutts® collection drive.
DFW Toys for Tots
For more than 15 years, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Fort Worth has helped DFW Toys for Tots(opens in a new window) by transporting toys donated at collection events to their warehouse in Dallas. Each year, we enjoy participating in events at Sundance Square, Mansfield, Southlake, and at Lockheed Martin's Fort Worth facility. Toys for Tots is an important holiday charity, because they provide holiday gifts for thousands of children in North Texas, and for most of them, these are the only gifts they receive. We look forward to participating in this annual holiday tradition of giving for many years to come!
