Giving back to the Fort Worth community
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Campaigns
Movers for Moms®
13 years ago, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK International wanted to find a way to help women in need on a local level. That's why Movers for Moms® was started! Every Spring, our nationwide franchise locations typically work with business partners in their area to collect needed items for their local women's shelters. Because 2020 has brought us new challenges with Shelter at Home orders and social distancing, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Fort Worth has decided to do an online fundraiser in lieu of our traditional collection drive.
According to our beneficiary SafeHaven of Tarrant County, the need for their services have surged since the COVID-19 outbreak began. With people staying at home, there is a surge in domestic violence cases. Unfortunately there has also been a significant decrease in the amount of donations the organization has received.
Please consider contributing to our fundraiser for SafeHaven - visit our Facebook Page to donate. Any amount will make a difference. The fundraiser is running now through May 1st.

Movers for Mutts®
At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, animals are like family! This past Fall, we helped local animals in need by coordinating Movers for Mutts®, a collection drive for two Fort Worth area animal charities. 30 community partners including Discovery Village at Alliance Town Center, Enclave at Golden Triangle, and RiverVue Apartments joined us to collect needed supplies for Don't Forget to Feed Me and Animal Hope. The final count was 392 items, including 412.5 lbs. of pet food! We are overjoyed with the generosity of our Fort Worth community and can't thank you enough for helping us support animals in need.
If your business would like to help us out with any of our 2020 collection drives, please reach out to Jen Merkel, Marketing Manager.
Animal Hope is a 501(c)3 charity that serves pets in North Texas by rescuing them from area shelters. They then work to provide training and medical care when needed, before finding the pet's forever home. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK is proud to support Animal Hope through our Movers For Mutts® collection drive.
CONVOY OF HOPE
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK is proud to partner with Convoy of Hope, a faith-based, non-profit organization that helps those who have experienced devastating emergencies like natural disasters. Since they began in 1998, Convoy of Hope has responded to 379 disaster areas. They most recently came to the aid of residents in Abaco, The Bahamas after Hurricane Dorian devastated the area, leaving thousands of residents with out food, water, or homes. Not only do we partner with Convoy of Hope by offering our trucks, labor, and services to them, ten cents of every move system-wide is donated directly to the charity's efforts.
DFW Toys for Tots
For more than 15 years, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Fort Worth has helped DFW Toys for Tots by transporting toys donated at collection events to their warehouse in Dallas. In 2019, we enjoyed participating in events at Sundance Square, Mansfield, Southlake, and at Lockheed Martin's Fort Worth facility. Toys for Tots is an important holiday charity, because they provide holiday gifts for thousands of children in North Texas, and for most of them, these are the only gifts they receive. We look forward to participating in this annual holiday tradition of giving for many years to come!
Don't Forget to Feed Me
When a family is working through hard financial times, it can be difficult to put food on the table, let alone provide food for beloved pets. Don't Forget to Feed Me is a 501(c)3 charity that collects all types of pet food, then distributes it to food banks throughout Fort Worth and North Texas. We're proud to have Don't Forget to Feed Me as one of our Movers for Mutts® beneficiaries.
SafeHaven of Tarrant County
In Tarrant County, one in three women will be affected by domestic abuse in their lifetime. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Fort Worth has chosen SafeHaven as the recipient of our annual Movers for Moms® supply drive. SafeHaven's services include emergency shelter, long-term housing assistance, counseling, legal services, and resources to help victims of domestic abuse find their independence. They also offer prevention and reformative services, to help families form healthy relationships and strong foundations for children. With the exception of their reformative services, all support is provided to community members free of charge. If you are a victim of domestic violence and are in need of assistance, please call the SafeHaven hotline: 1-877-701-SAFE (7233).
