Community Involvement

We are a family-owned business and love our community! Over the past several years, we have volunteered our time and resources participating in the national Movers for Moms® campaign. We've enjoyed collecting items for women at local shelters, and have delivered more than 4,500 items to Family Services Inc.(opens in a new window) in Winston-Salem in the past three years. We have also received the Patriotic Employer Award for supporting staff in the Armed Services and National Guard.

Because of our great customers and their support, we’ve been privileged to give back to our community by donating our services to Family Services, Bookmarks, Kaleideum Downtown, Kaleideum North, Winston Salem Crisis Control Ministry(opens in a new window), Dress for Success, Ronald McDonald House of Winston Salem, Junior League of Winston Salem, Leadership of Winston-Salem, March of Dimes, Muscular Dystrophy Association, National MS Society, Winston Salem Symphony and many, many others.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Campaigns

Movers for Mutts®

While this is the fifth year the Movers for Mutts® program has been in existence, 2017 was the inaugural year for us here in Winston Salem! We partnered with the Forsyth Humane Society to collect items they need the most at their shelter because, regardless of whether an animal is homeless or not, they all deserve to be protected and treated with love. We wanted to give a HUGE shoutout to the community businesses that helped us collect hundreds of items for these animals: Wag Boutique, The Natural Dog, and Foothills Brewing.

We've since wrapped our second year of Movers for Mutts® and it was even more successful than our first! Throughout the month of September, our community partners Winston Salem Vet Hospital, Ard-Vista Animal Hospital and Reynolda Vet Hospital helped us collect hundred of items to benefit the Forsyth Humane Society. Despite our drive being complete, the humane society is always in need of donations. Monetary donations can be made online (http://www.forsythhumane.org/wishlist) and physical donations can be brought directly to their office and 4881 Country Club Road

If you would like to help this amazing organization continue the great work they do, please let us know; our 2019 campaign will be kicking off again in a few months and we're always looking for additional community collection partners to help us gather these items! If you're interested in participating as a 2019 collection partner, please contact our office directly!.

Movers for Moms®

Each spring, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® launches a charity called Movers for Moms®, a campaign dedicated to helping mothers and children in need here in Winston Salem. We work with local businesses and organizations in our community to collect essential need items which are then delivered to homeless and domestic abuse shelters for Mother’s Day.

The program initially launched in 2007, meaning 2019 will be the 12th year since its inauguration. We collect items for Family Services of Forsyth County during the months of March and April, and have been able to gift nearly 4,000 items over the last two years. Thank you to our community collection partners who continue to make this campaign a success: Jerry Long YMCA, Snider Tire, Moore Magnet Elementary School, and Ego Hour Hair Designers. A huge thank you goes out to everyone in the community who stopped by our office with additional donations as well!

Our 2019 has just wrapped with another successful year. Thanks to the support of the community and our collection partners, we were able to donate over 3,000 items to Forsyth Family Services! Thank you to our 2019 partners: Winston Salem Police Department, Jerry Long YMCA, Brookberry Park Apartments, Kaleideum, Kaleideum North, Lewisville United Methodist Church, Winston Salem Monthly magazine and to the residents of Brookberry Farm Neighborhood!

Local Partners

Charitable Donation for HOPE of Winston Salem

We are thrilled to announce we delivered a $500 check to H.O.P.E. of Winston-Salem from the proceeds of our annual Movers For Moms® charity.  We donated $3 from every move completed April 1-30, 2022.  We are so appreciative of all the work H.O.P.E. of Winston-Salem is doing for our community.

First Book

We are thrilled to partner with First Book, a non-profit that strives to provide children and educators with high-quality books and educational resources, to distribute 120 copies of the book "When Grandma Gives You a Lemon Tree",  by Jamie L. B. Deenihan, to WSFCS South Fork Elementary School. South Fork Elementary School plans to distribute these books to their incoming Kindergarteners. We're thrilled for the opportunity to give back especially during a time when the COVID-19 pandemic has greatly affected our nation’s schools. This effort aims to make an impact during the annual summer learning gap and for children whose learning may have been impacted by the pandemic.

Kaleideum

Throughout the year, we partner with Kaleideum, formerly the Children's Museum of Winston Salem, to sponsor some of their events as well as assist on various charity moves. As the need arises, we donate our trucks and time to help move exhibits, bring in new equipment and set up events - whatever they may need! For the last several years, we have been sponsors of their Truck and Treat event, setting up a truck and handing out candy and giveaways so that children and families have a safe place to trick or treat for Halloween.
