Movers in the Greensboro community
Because we are locally owned and operated, we love to stay involved with the community! We are active members of both the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce and the High Point Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Guilford Merchants Association, North Carolina Movers Association, and the American Moving and Storage Association. We are also proud to be accredited by the Better Business Bureau of Greensboro. We take great pride in working with many charitable organizations including March of Dimes, Susan G. Komen, Elizabeth’s Closet, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Baptist Children’s Home, Guilford Elementary, and the Harvest Food Bank.
Movers for Moms®
Every year, we participate in the national TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® campaign entitled Movers for Moms®, a charity campaign dedicated to helping mothers in need. We partner with various local businesses, schools, and churches in the community to collect essential items which are then delivered to various homeless and domestic abuse shelters around Mother’s Day.
In 2017, we collected over 1,500 donations for Family Service of the Piedmont and can't wait to see what we can do this year!Thank you to the Hartley Drive YMCA, High Point Chamber of Commerce, Gold's Gym High Point and Brassfield and BB&T at Friendly Center for being amazing community partners in 2017. Our 2018 is about to kick-off and we couldn't be more excited! This year, Family Service is asking for the below most needed items:
- Goodie bags items for families such as lotions, candles, etc.
- Cleaning Supplies: buckets, mops, soaps, cleansers, sponges, Clorox wipes
- Art supplies: crayons, markers, construction paper, glue sticks
- Photo albums, journals, calendars
- Sippee cups
- Baby wipes
- Plastic safety covers for electrical outlets
- Gift cards for gas stations
As always, donations can be brought directly to our office anytime from now until the first week in May!
Movers for Mutts
Our fall charity campaign, Movers for Mutts, lauched for the first time in our market in September 2017. The donations we collected went to benefit the SPCA of the Triad as well as the Humane Society of the Triad. Despite this being the first year we excecuted this campaign in Greensboro, we were overwhelemd by the huge amounts of donations we were able to collect to help so many animals living in shelters. We want to give a huge shoutout to our community partners who helped collect donations: The Natural Dog, All Pets Considered, KaiJax Gym and the Cannonball Marathon Series.
Even though our campaign has wrapped up until Fall of 2018, monetary donations can also be made directly to these organizations online at:
Elizabeth's Closet is a charity organization, working with the Family Support Network of Central Carolina, to collect donations for families with children in the NICU or born with special needs. They also offer support services for these families to help educate and with the transition of their situation. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Greensboro offers storage space, free of charge, to Elizabeth's Closet for all of the donations that they collect that haven't made it to families quite yet.
Girls on the Run
We're proud to announce that this year, we will be partnering with Girls on the Run (serving the Triad) in their 2018 Spring 5K! Girls on the Run is a youth development program designed to help young girls boost confidence, develop character, learn how to contribute to society and become overall happy, healthy young women. We are very excited to help them set up their Spring 5K, while partnering to collect donations for our 2018 Movers for Moms campaign!
