Active in our local community
There is nothing better than giving back to our community. At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® of Hallandale, we are dedicated to helping our community in any way we possibly can. Whether it’s having the kids of our community mingle with Truckie at a local festival or assisting His House Children's Home set up and deliver all items for their annual gala, we are always excited to be a part of it all and make an impact in our community. Are you part of a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and have some ideas on how we may be able to assist you? Give us a call and let’s chat.
On the morning of Sunday, September 10, 2017, Hurricane Irma made landfall in the lower part of the Florida Keys before making its way up the entire state of Florida. The Florida Keys faced the worst of the storm and most residents lost their homes and other basic essential items that most take for granted such as water, blankets and personal hygiene products. People of the community all came together and donated pallets of water and other essential items. Our team donated our truck and our services to take all these items to those affected by the storm. We are so happy to have been able to restore a bit of hope to those who need it the most.
Movers for Moms®
Each year, all TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® franchises come together to help the moms in need of our community who need our help by putting all our efforts on our Movers for Moms®> campaign. Between April and May, we collect essential items for the mothers living in local domestic abuse and homeless shelters and deliver the collected items each Mother’s Day.
In 2017, our franchise collected and donated over 5,000 items to the Lotus House. We partnered up with various local business to help spread awareness and collect items for the beautiful mothers and their children.
Lotus House is an organization that is dedicated to improving lives of women, youth and children who are homeless. Voices for Children Foundation, Inc.
Over 3,000 children in Miami-Dade’s foster care system have no heroes in their lives. Voices for Children Foundation, Inc is the only organization of this kind that enables the support of the Guardian ad Litem program to recruit, train, and support volunteers to serve of the “Voice” of the thousands of children that go unheard in court. Each year community leaders and business professionals come together at the Be a Voice Gala to bid on silent and live auction items and stand up for Miami-Dade’s children. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® of Hallandale’s move heroes donated their time and resources to help make this gala a success. We are grateful for the opportunity to be a part of such a wonderful event.
