2018 Southern Delaware Heart Ball

Their Mission: Building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Our mission drives everything we do.  TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Delaware South is proud to be able to donate moving services to the 2018 Southern Delaware Heart Ball and this cause.

Be a Santa to a Senior

We partnered with a non-profit agency called Be a Santa to a Senior, this past 2016 Holiday Season. Be a Santa to a Senior, partners with local non-profit and community organizations to identify seniors who might not otherwise receive gifts during the holiday season. The The non-profit then works with local businesses and retail stores to help facilitate the purchase and distribution of gifts to the needy seniors in the community. We were fortunate enough to have been able to deliver approximately 4,000 wrapped gifts to needy seniors.

Code Purple Volunteers

Code Purple Kent County

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, Delaware South was able to partner with Code Purple Kent County(opens in a new window), a statewide movement that helps people who are homeless find a place of refuge or shelter when the winter weather conditions become too dangerous for individuals or families to remain outside. Our drivers and movers in coordination with 150 other volunteers worked to collect tents, sleeping bags, coolers, clothes, shoes and other reusable items left behind after the Firefly Music Festival. The TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, trucks were able to transport all of the collected items to the intended Code Purple location.

Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition

Every year we get to be a part of this gala to support and raise awareness of breast health issues in our local community. All monies raised benefit local programs and services in Delaware and the surrounding regions.

Flower drop off

Destination Downtown Dover

Our staff along with other local businesses donated their time to help distribute over 300 flower pots along Loockerman Street in Downtown Dover from State to Queen streets. Destination Downtown Dover raised the money to purchase the flowers by holding different events on Loockerman St.

Volunteers

Food Bank of Delaware

The Food Bank of Delaware is a statewide nonprofit agency that provides food to those in need. They also provide programs that give low-income people the skills needed to earn a living wage so that they no longer have to rely on support from local agencies. The Food Bank is always looking for volunteers to help in their facilities sorting food or putting together backpacks for children and meal boxes. You can also volunteer as we did to hand out food during one of their, contact-free food drives.

History, Heritage and Hops

We provide our TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, trailer to our local History, Heritage and Hops, part of our annual Dover Days celebration(opens in a new window), to secure any items for the celebration.

A non-profit organization that provides custom-built, mortgage-free homes to military heroes and the widows of the fallen. It was an honor to work with U.S. Army Sergeant Shaun O’Brien and Family, who we moved from New Jersey to their new home in Milton.
