Be a Santa to a Senior

We partnered with a non-profit agency called Be a Santa to a Senior, this past 2016 Holiday Season. Be a Santa to a Senior, partners with local non-profit and community organizations to identify seniors who might not otherwise receive gifts during the holiday season. The The non-profit then works with local businesses and retail stores to help facilitate the purchase and distribution of gifts to the needy seniors in the community. We were fortunate enough to have been able to deliver approximately 4,000 wrapped gifts to needy seniors.

Code Purple Kent County

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, Delaware South was able to partner with Code Purple Kent County, a statewide movement that helps people who are homeless find a place of refuge or shelter when the winter weather conditions become too dangerous for individuals or families to remain outside. Our drivers and movers in coordination with 150 other volunteers worked to collect tents, sleeping bags, coolers, clothes, shoes and other reusable items left behind after the Firefly Music Festival. The TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, trucks were able to transport all of the collected items to the intended Code Purple location.
