Service in our Colorado Springs

Movers for Moms®

Each year, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® of Colorado Springs gives back to so many mothers in need with our Movers for Moms® campaign. We collect essential care items for mothers living in homeless and domestic abuse shelters, which are delivered to the women each Mother’s Day. No matter the situation, every mother deserves to feel special on her special day. Last year, we partnered with TESSA to donate the much needed items to mothers and their families.

Movers for Meals

Hunger is a problem many Americans face daily. So, to help combat this issue, we also kicked off our Movers for Meals campaign to collects nonperishable food items for families facing hunger. We teamed up with School District 49, and donated both our trucks and services to collect and deliver items to several non-profit organizations.

Partnerships and organizations

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Colorado Springs has been blessed since 1993 by the city that we live and work in. It is for that reason we feel it is important to give back to the community to show our appreciation and become involved in organizations we feel will benefit many people in need. Organizations we’re happy to support include Care and Share, Partners in Housing, TESSA, United States Air Force Academy, and Ecumenical Social Ministries. For more information on how we participate with these fine organizations, please call our office.

Ecumenical Social Ministries

Colorado Springs Ecumenical Social Ministries (ESM) was established as a nonprofit organization in 1982 by eight large downtown churches. Considered an outreach extension for the community, ESM responds to the emergency social service needs of low-income, homeless and unemployed individuals and families in Colorado Springs. In response to the Gospel, ESM promotes self-sufficiency and restores dignity by providing food, medicine, housing, job placement, educational programs, and spiritual encouragement. ESM provides a collaborative Christian response to low income and homeless people in crisis.

Care and Share

At Care and Share Food Bank, they believe no one should go hungry. Every day, they provide food to our partner agencies across Southern Colorado to serve families, children and seniors in need because well-fed communities are safer, more stable, and more vibrant for us all. Care and Share is also a member of Feeding America, a national food bank association. Every year, Care and Share distributes more than 21 million pounds of food throughout 31 counties in Southern Colorado to more than 300 partner agencies.

TESSA

TESSA’s mission is to help women and their children achieve safety and wellbeing while challenging communities to end sexual and family violence. Since 1977, TESSA has been a resource services to victims of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault in the Pikes Peak region. Today, TESSA has evolved into a multi-faceted agency that includes a confidential Safehouse, Victim Advocacy, Counseling and Children’s Programs, a 24/7 Crisis Line, Rural Advocacy and Community Outreach and Education. Through these efforts, TESSA strives to realize our vision of a safe community free of personal violence for all.

The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army is a charitable Christian organization called to feed, shelter and restore lives in our community. The Salvation Army’s motivation and expression of service is meeting the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of underserved individuals without discrimination. We partner with The Salvation Army by hosting an Angel Tree Toy Drive, and by donating a truck at Christmas for the distribution of more than 400 turkeys, holiday food bags, and thousands of Angel Tree gifts. Additionally, we provide moves for The Salvation Army whenever they are in need, from moving donated items to transporting food and drink for The Salvation Army’s Emergency Disaster Services.

Partners in Housings’ primary mission is to help homeless families achieve self-sufficiency through their Homeless Self-Sufficiency program. This program provides one year of transitional housing, case management, life skills training, and budget counseling to help homeless households get back on their feet.
