Your Professional Move Teams

All TWO MEN AND A TRUCK move teams are professionally trained, background-checked, and drug tested before they stop foot onto a truck. Our crews undergo extensive training to ensure they are prepared for all aspects when it comes to moving before they show up for their first job at a customer’s home. The training process for our teams is structured so that movers and drivers are up-to-date on the best moving practices and techniques, which is broken down into a structured process:

Before offer letter. Prior to officially hiring someone as a TWO MEN AND A TRUCK mover or driver, they must undergo the following to ensure they are an ideal candidate to be part of the team, and can be a trusted employee in being part of customers’ moving journeys:

  • Interview with management team
  • Background-check
  • Drug screening
  1. 1
    Step 1
    Day 1

After passing the background check and drug test, movers and drivers will tour the franchise, meet the team, and have the opportunity to get a good look at the trucks and moving equipment to get a sense of what the job will look like while out in the field.

  2. 2
    Step 2
    Day 2

The second day of mover and driver training includes instructional and educational videos. Next, employees will learn the do’s and don’ts when it comes to moving, how to stretch wrap and lift furniture, and take part in a packing practice on a mock truck.

  3. 3
    Step 3
    Day 3

On the third day, movers and drivers will get a run down of what a typical morning dispatch looks like at a TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchise. A dispatch entails the manager reviewing the upcoming moves for the day, highlighting anything of importance to note, and assigning movers and drivers to each job. After dispatch, new team members will complete more practice on loading and unloading a truck, while also working on stretch-wrapping and other moving-related skills.

  4. 4
    Step 4
    Day 4

The fourth day is the first full day new employees will experience as a TWO MEN AND A TRUCK mover or driver. They complete a variety of tasks and trainings, ranging from watching videos to learning how to label boxes, how to properly load boxes into the truck, and how to handle the technical side when it comes to billing and the completion of a move.

  5. 5
    Step 5
    Day 5

On the final day of training, new movers and drivers will spend the first part recapping everything they learned from the prior days to ensure they are well-versed (and ready!) on what it takes to successfully move a customer from point A to point B.

This training can provide customers with peace of mind in knowing their items are in the hands of professionals, who truly know the ins and outs when it comes to moving.

Why should I hire professional movers over completing the move on my own?

When you hire professional movers, you are guaranteed a stress-free, seamless experience from start to finish. Moving can often be one of life’s most stressful events. Think about it- you must take inventory of what you want to take to your new home versus what you plan to donate, pack up all of your most valuable belongings, ensure their safety during the transit, and then, after a long day, you still need to unbox everything in your new space. It can feel overwhelming to say the least when you choose to move on your own. That’s why so many choose to contact TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, your Movers Who Care®. Our team of professionally trained, background-checked movers come equipped with top-of-the-line equipment and packing supplies so you can rest easy in knowing your items (and your new home) will be safe throughout their entire move journey.
