Eau Claire Community Involvement

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is proud to host our Movers for Moms® campaign this year in Eau Claire! We are proud to partner with local businesses who host collection bins and gather donations of essential care items for the Bolton Refuge House. All donations will help women and their children who have left domestic violence situations, to start over fresh in life. Movers for Moms® runs from April 1 until May 9th this year. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK will gather the donations at the end of the campaign and bring them to the Bolton Refuge House.

This year, our first-year hosting in Eau Claire, we are grateful that so many local businesses have joined the Movers for Moms® program as collection sites where you can drop off essential care items.

 Businesses that will host donation bins include: 

Bolton Refuge House currently needs the following: 

-Cleaning supplies (especially 91% rubbing alcohol, all-purpose cleaner, glass cleaner, floor cleaner, and toilet bowl cleaner)
-Tall kitchen garbage bags
-Sandwich size Ziploc bags
-Masking tape
-Batteries (AA and AAA)
-Painter’s tape
-Copier paper
-Pads/tampons
-Hygiene products (hand sanitizer, bar soap, shampoo, etc.)
-Nonperishable shelf stable items, especially protein sources such as tuna, beans, etc.

Bolton Refuge House does NOT need: 

-Any clothing

-Furniture

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK is so excited to be new partners with Move for Hunger(opens in a new window).  We have seen firsthand how much food gets thrown away during a move. With Move for Hunger, we are fighting hunger by gathering unwanted nonperishable foods and donating them to the Salvation Army of the Chippewa Valley(opens in a new window) during each of our moves. 

1 in 8 people are food insecure in the United States. We hope to drop that number even just a small amount with our Move for Hunger partnership.
