Moving Our Community Forward

It's important to us to give back to the community on a local level. That's why MOVERS FOR MOMS®(opens in a new window) was born 14 years ago. Each year, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchises all over the world support families suffering from domestic abuse. Our directive is to provide assistance to non-profit organizations so that families in need can overcome dire circumstances.

In 2021, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Arlington has once again chosen SafeHaven of Tarrant County(opens in a new window) as our MOVERS FOR MOMS® beneficiary. With the help of local business partners, we will be collecting essential care items for use at their shelters. Now more than ever, organizations like SafeHaven are in desperate need of these items.

For the past two years, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Arlington organized MOVERS FOR MUTTS®, in support of Fort Worth animal charities: Animal Hope(opens in a new window) and Don't Forget to Feed Me(opens in a new window). Over 30 community partners throughout Mansfield, Arlington, and Fort Worth helped us to collect nearly 400 items, including 412.5 lbs. of pet food! We have also donated equipment, services, and labor to transport several tons of pet food, which was then distributed to local food banks.

SafeHaven(opens in a new window)'s goal is to end domestic violence by advocating safety, support, prevention, and social change. Their two emergency shelters are able to provide 24-hour care to families in crisis, especially life-threatening situations. With 164 beds in total, they also provide meals, transportation, clothing, counseling services, activities for children, medical and dental care, and case management - all at no cost to the client. Each year, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Arlington supports SafeHaven of Tarrant County by organizing our Movers for Moms®(opens in a new window) collection drive. For more information on how you can help us make an impact, contact Jen Merkel.

Operation Finally Home(opens in a new window) is a non-profit organization that provides mortgage-free, newly-built homes to US Veterans who have become wounded, ill, or injured through their service. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Arlington works with Operation Finally Home in the Arlington/Fort Worth area by donating our labor and moving services to these families who have sacrificed so much for our freedom. In 2018 we moved the Ewing family(opens in a new window) to Saginaw, TX as well as theAshby family(opens in a new window), who moved to Fort Worth. In 2019, we moved the Ferris family(opens in a new window) to Weatherford, Texas, and last year we helped the King (opens in a new window)and Arroyo(opens in a new window), families. We're happy to help these deserving Veterans and their families and look forward to a longstanding partnership with Operation Finally Home.

Don't Forget to Feed Me(opens in a new window) provides pet food to those in need in North Texas. By collecting pet food from generous donors, then distributing it to area food shelters, Don't Forget to Feed Me offers an alternative to surrendering or abandoning a beloved pet because of difficult financial times. We're proud to have Don't Forget to Feed Me, a 501(c)3 charity, as one of our deserving Movers for Mutts® beneficiaries!

Animal Hope(opens in a new window) rescues pets from Fort Worth area shelters, then provides them with the rehabilitation and medical assistance they may need. Once ready, they work to find the pet's forever home. Animal Hope Pet Adoptions is a 501(c)3 charity and one of our Movers for Mutts® charity partners.

At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Arlington, we are proud of our 15+ year partnership with DFW Toys for Tots(opens in a new window)! In December of each year, we help by transporting donated toys from various collection events throughout the Fort Worth area to the Toys for Tots warehouse in Dallas. Last year, we helped out at events in Sundance Square, Mansfield, Southlake, and Lockheed Martin's Fort Worth facility. Our commitment to donating hundreds of hours of labor, services, and equipment is something we look forward to each holiday season.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK proudly partners with Convoy of Hope(opens in a new window), a charity organization that provides relief to those experiencing losses due to natural disasters. Most recently, with the help of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK and other transportation partners, Convoy of Hope was able to get much-needed food and supplies to residents in The Bahamas experiencing emergencies due to Hurricane Dorian. Besides donating labor and services, ten cents of every move completed by TWO MEN AND A TRUCK system-wide is donated to Convoy of Hope to help with their efforts.
