Movers for Mutts® in Crossville, TN: Providing necessities to shelter pets looking for their forever homes

Every fall, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Cookeville & Crossville roll out our heartwarming Movers for Mutts® campaign; which is a community-driven initiative designed to support the Cookeville-Putnam County Animal Shelter and provide essential supplies for pets in need.

What Is Movers for Mutts®?

Movers for Mutts® is a nationwide program created by TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® to help local animal shelters care for homeless pets. Movers for Mutts® is one of the many TWO MEN AND A TRUCK's charitable campaigns that help support the community. Each fall we partner with local businesses and organizations to collect much needed items for a local animal shelter. Donations needed are often times pet food, litter, training pads, cleaning supplies, hand soap, towels, blankets, toys, treats and more. It takes a lot of time, money, and patience to care for a full animal shelter. Often times shelters operate on small budgets and rely heavily on donations. We believe it's important to help support animal shelters in our community. We like to do this by running our Movers for Mutts campaign in the fall time.  

From the very beginning, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK has focused on helping others. Founder Mary Ellen Sheets was passionate about donating and helping her community and started the trend for our giving back programs! We live by the motto of Movers Who Care®. At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK it is our mission to care for our customers, our community, and help others with our Movers for Moms® and Movers for Mutts® campaigns. These campaigns reflect a deep commitment to helping people and pets in need in the local communities we serve.

The last few years we have partnered with our TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Cookeville location to collect donations for Cookeville/Putnam County Animal Shelter. We aim to do the same thing again this fall of 2025. Help us support the local pets at Cookeville-Putnam County Animal Shelter by being a donation drop off location, dropping off donations, or spreading the word! Any small donation means a lot to us and the shelter! Gently used items like leashes and collars are appreciated! We've even had people make toys for the cats and dogs before! 

We’re aiming to break last year’s record and collect even more donations for our furry friends. Whether you’re a local business interested in becoming a collection partner or a community member looking to donate, your support makes a real difference.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® locations all over the U.S. run a campaign called Movers for Moms® every spring. Each year our Crossville location will be teaming up with our Cookeville location to collect donations for our Movers for Moms® campaign. Giving back to the community means a lot to us at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK. Our teams takes pride in giving back to individuals in need. Throughout the year, we organize campaigns to collect essential items for local families and moms in need. Giving back is at the heart of what we do, and we take great pride in helping those who need it most.

Our TWO MEN AND A TRUCK COOKEVILLE AND CROSSVILLE locations are teaming up to collect donations for the Genesis House. 

The items they are most in need of are:

• Cleaning Supplies
• Fabric Softener
• Laundry Detergent
• Plastic Wrap
• Aluminum Foil
• Eating Utensils
• Dish Detergent
