This Halloween, let your creativity run wild and give those leftover moving boxes a whole new purpose! Instead of breaking down your cardboard and sending it off to the recycling bin, why not transform it into a fun, imaginative, and completely unique costume?
Last Halloween, Liz Walker from our TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Florence office stopped by the WFXB Fox Studio to share a few fun and creative ideas for transforming ordinary cardboard moving boxes into one-of-a-kind Halloween costumes. With a little imagination, some basic supplies, and a DIY spirit, Liz showed viewers just how much fun you can have by thinking outside the box — literally!
From a playful fly and a classic milk carton to a roaring dinosaur and other creative creations, Liz demonstrated how everyday cardboard can be transformed into fun costumes that are sure to make an impression. The best part? These projects are simple, affordable, and perfect for getting the whole family involved.
Moving boxes are the perfect blank canvas for creative minds. With a little cutting, painting, decorating, and imagination, an ordinary cardboard box can become almost anything you dream up — a giant robot, a favorite character, a spooky creature, a race car, a piece of food, or something totally original. The possibilities are limited only by your imagination!
Upcycling your moving boxes is also a great way to get the whole family involved. Kids can help dream up the design, choose the colors, and decorate their creations, turning costume-making into a fun family activity. And because you’re giving something you already have a second life, you can create an amazing costume without spending a fortune.
So this Halloween, don’t just think outside the box — create something inside one! Grab those leftover moving boxes, gather your craft supplies, and see what your imagination can turn them into. You might be surprised by just how extraordinary an ordinary cardboard box can become.
