The House Women's Outreach in Phoenixville PA

The House: Homeless Women's Outreach

In the spirit of our core value to 'Give Back to the Community, ' we started supporting "The House," a homeless women's outreach. This organization helps break the cycle of homelessness in three stages. Once we learned their process, we saw an opportunity to help. First, they provide immediate housing, combined with education and skills training. Then they get the program participants jobs to start making an income. Once the resident is earning an income, they move to "The Next Step House," where they begin to pay and build rental history before transitioning to complete independence. During this process, the women in the program move at least twice, and we realized we could help in this area. We began donating moving services anytime someone in the community had a new furniture donation they wanted to give to The House. We also help with in-home heavy furniture rearranging and junk removal of old items they no longer need. The cooperative effort has been an excellent opportunity to serve and support a great cause, and we look forward to continuing it in the future.

UNIONVILLE BIKE DRIVE

Each year, we partner up with Unionville Bike Drive. Old and damaged bikes are brought to be cleaned up and repaired so that they can be donated to people in need during the holiday season. This season, we were able to help move 138 donated bikes for children for Christmas and some for adults for them to have transportation for their jobs. We are so grateful to be a part of local opportunities in our community to help give back!

CHEERIODICALS

We’ve also worked with a great organization called Cheeriodicals(opens in a new window). This organization teams up with major companies for team building events that builds green boxes of cheer to give to children at local children’s hospitals. Last May, we had the incredible opportunity to transport the green boxes of cheer to St. Christopher’s Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia.

Move for Hunger

Found non-perishables in your pantry that you don't want to take with you when you move? Want to help families in the community? We're here to help! We partner with Move for Hunger and local food banks in the area to help provide food for families in need! We'll even pick them up for you and deliver. Thousands of pounds of food have been donated to local families in the area thanks to the generosity of individuals in our communities.

KW Red Day Park Clean Up

Keller Williams Red Day of Service

We brought our junk removal skills with us and joined Keller Williams for their Red Day of Service park clean-up event! It was great to help with this community service effort in Doylestown. If you have items that you need to get rid of like old mattresses, garage cleanouts, and home decluttering in Warrington and surrounding areas give us a call.

The Salvation Army Choice Pantry

Salvation Army

At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, we stay true to our motto as the "Movers Who Care®" by giving back to our community. We do that regularly through donated services and charitable donations. We are excited to have added The Salvation Army in Norristown, PA to the list of organizations we support. The Salvation Army in Norristown helps the community in multiple ways including hosting a food pantry, emergency utility bill help, and various holiday and community programs. We will continue with your feedback and support to live out our core value of giving back to the community.

We are donating $1 for every post-move survey our customers submit to us after using our services. This is a fun way you get to be a part of the giving simply by telling us how we did.
