Supporting our Wilmington Community

Every year, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® locations across the country collect donations for women and mothers in need in honor of Mother's Day. Franchises partner with local shelters, schools, and other community organizations to collect goods that will make Mother’s Day special for moms living in shelters or seeking support through domestic violence support organizations. This annual donation drive is called Movers for Moms®.

This year, we'll be donating to women and mothers at the Domestic Violence Shelter in Wilmington! Donation items include:

• Shampoo/Conditioner

•  Body Wash

• Cleaning Supplies

• Ziplock Bags

• African American Hair Products

• Pillows

• Disposable Cutlery and Food Containers

• White Twin Comforters and Sheets

• Clothing (with tags)

• Gift Cards (in small increments)

• Gently Used Cell Phones

• Reusable Coffee Cups/Lids

• Pre-Packaged Snacks

Here at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Wilmington, we believe that EVERY family should have food on the table during the holidays, which is why we're teaming up with the Good Shepherd Center(opens in a new window) this Fall for our MOVERS FOR MEALS® donation drive!

The goal of MOVERS FOR MEALS® is to collect nonperishable food items to be donated directly to the Good Shepherd Center in honor of Thanksgiving this year.

From now until November 21st, we are partnering with several local businesses across Wilmington to host collection boxes for the Good Shepherd Center's most needed non-perishable food items, including:

• Ketchup, Mustard, Mayo, Hot Sauce
• Boxed Mashed Potatoes & Mac 'n Cheese
• Grits & Oatmeal
• Coffee & Creamer
• Pasta & Pasta Sauce
• Pancake Mix
• Flour & Sugar
• Salt, Pepper, Seasonings & Spices
• Rice
• Salad Dressing
• Butter

Donations can be dropped off at any of the following collection sites:

All donations will be delivered to the Good Shepherd Center on the Monday before Thanksgiving.

We partner with the local nonprofit Good Shepherd Center to assist families struggling with food insecurity during the holiday season. Unopened, nonperishable food items are dropped off at several donation sites throughout the community. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Wilmington collects all the donations and delivers them directly to the Good Shepherd Center the Monday before Thanksgiving. "We know that the holidays are a particularly tough time, and we want our neighbors to be able to celebrate with their loved ones without worrying about putting food on the table,” says Good Shepherd’s Executive Director, Katrina Knight. So, go through your pantry and help make Thanksgiving memorable for families in need!

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Wilmington proudly hosted the Truckload of Warmth® donation drive! The goal was to collect as many warm clothing items as possible to deliver to those in need during the Winter. We partnered with a long list of community donation box host locations all around Wilmington to collect the much-needed items as winter approaches. All collected items were donated to the Good Shepard Center and Tri-HIC. New or gently used items collected included:

• Socks

We are proud to partner with the local Marine Corps League Detachment 1070 to support the annual Toys for Tots campaign. This initiative collects over 20,000 toys from more than 400 locations across New Hanover County, bringing joy to children in need during the holiday season.

Our team provides moving support by picking up toys from donation boxes and delivering them to the distribution site at 13th and Marsteller. We are honored to contribute to this incredible effort, which benefits over 300 individual families and numerous organizations in our community. Together, we are helping make the holidays brighter for those who need it most.

At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Wilmington, we are proud to be recognized as a valued Service Partner of Welcome Home Angel, a local non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of children and families in our community. Our partnership reflects our commitment to bringing comfort, accessibility, and joy to the spaces where children live, heal, and grow. By providing repeated in-kind moving services and support, we help decrease project costs and raise awareness of their mission, enabling Welcome Home Angel to serve more families. We are honored to stand alongside them in their mission to "help families be families" and look forward to continuing our support as they transform homes and lives.

At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Wilmington, we are proud to support Lower Cape Fear Lifecare's Cape Fear Festival of Trees at the Fort Fisher Aquarium. This festive event celebrates the season while supporting a vital organization in our community.

In November, our team helped transport and deliver trees to the aquarium, where they were beautifully decorated by sponsors, including our very own tree! The trees will be displayed throughout the aquarium until the end of December, bringing joy to visitors and raising awareness of Lower Cape Fear Lifecare's mission.

After the event concludes, we will assist by carefully taking down the trees and delivering them to a storage facility for future use. We are honored to be part of this meaningful tradition that brings the community together for a great cause.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Wilmington Partners with New Hanover County Schools for the Bikes for Kids Program. We’re thrilled to support the Bikes for Kids program in partnership with New Hanover County Schools! Recently, our team at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Wilmington had the privilege of delivering new bikes that will soon bring joy and new possibilities to local children. This wonderful program provides more than just bikes—it gives students the chance to experience freedom, build confidence, and simply enjoy the fun of owning a bike. We are grateful for the opportunity to strengthen our community and empower the next generation. Thank you to the Bikes for Kids Foundation for leading this amazing initiative. Let’s keep moving Wilmington forward together!

We're proud to sponsor the annual Landfall Tradition Golf Tournament, which is hosted by the Landfall Country Club. 

Every October, we volunteer a truck and manpower to retrieve and deliver goods for consignment for Posh Whale Sale right here in our community! 

Posh Whale Sale is an upscale children's seasonal clothing consignment sale. The sale features mainly children's clothing and other items including portable cribs, baby rockers, strollers, and toys! After the sale ends, out team helps to return items to Posh's warehouse for next year's sale!
