Supporting our Wilmington Community

As one of our company core values, we feel passionately about investing into our community. Providing support to local organizations is just one of the many ways we help to do that. We also devote our time to hosting multiple nationally based charity campaigns created by TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® and organizing donation drives benefiting specific individuals in need.

Dedicated to living the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® core values, we are part of the  North Carolina Movers Association(opens in a new window) and Wilmington Chamber of Commerce, along with numerous other local organizations and charities.

Our positive community reputation has allowed us to be named best mover in Wilmington by Encore Magazine every year since 2009 as well as being recognized with the Best of Brunswick 2017 Award by the Brunswick Beacon.

NEW HANOVER REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER FOUNDATION CARING FOR KIDS RADIOTHON 2016

In September of 2016, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Wilmington participated in the NHRMC Foundation Caring for Kids Radiothon to raise funds used for new medical equipment that will help to ease the pain of receiving injections for children being treated at the medical center. We are so proud to support the wonderful, life-changing work the NHRMC Foundation does, and we are thankful we have the opportunity to give back to our community.

Move for hunger

When people move, they often throw out a good deal of “stuff.”  Unfortunately, much of this stuff is food that could be delivered to a family in need, rather than just getting left behind. The crew of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Wilmington is collecting those food items from their customers and delivering them directly to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina. The service is free to customers and turns every move into an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate, simply by donating the cans and non-perishables on moving day.

“We are thrilled to have TWO MEN AND A TRUCK of Wilmington join us in the fight against hunger,” says Adam Lowy, Founder and Executive Director of Move For Hunger. “With such devastating hunger statistics at both the local and national level, their efforts will provide crucial support to the food bank’s mission to feed the hungry.”

Junior League of Wilmington, NC

Not only is TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Wilmington proud to partner with the Junior League of Wilmington, N.C., to provide support for their annual Bargain Sale event, but we are also excited to be participants in their annual Touch-A-Truck event!

Touch-A-Truck is an educational community event that will provide children with a hands-on opportunity to see and touch heavy machinery and meet the people who build, protect, and serve the Wilmington community. Kids of all ages will be able to explore vehicles like a fire engine, cement truck, school bus, tow truck, weather truck, bulldozers, and more! For more information on this event and others, please check out the  Junior League of Wilmington's Facebook Page

Wilmington Movers For Meals

Partnership with the Good Shepherd Center

We partner with the local nonprofit Good Shepherd Center to assist families struggling with food insecurity during the holiday season. Unopened, nonperishable food items are dropped off at several donation sites throughout the community. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Wilmington collects all the donations and delivers them directly to the Good Shepherd Center the Monday before Thanksgiving. "We know that the holidays are a particularly tough time, and we want our neighbors to be able to celebrate with their loved ones without worrying about putting food on the table,” says Good Shepherd’s Executive Director, Katrina Knight. So, go through your pantry and help make Thanksgiving memorable for families in need!
