Rebecca has been with the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK ® Gulf Coast family since July of 2015. Rebecca says that her favorite part of her job is knowing that she has helped make such a stressful time in someone’s life just a little bit easier. “Working with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK ® has been a wonderful experience. Working with a team that not only treats you like family but is always fun and caring, definitely makes helping the customers that much easier. I couldn’t imagine working with a better team.” When Rebecca is not at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK ®, she enjoys spending time with her son, her family, and her two kitties, Gracie and Cheeto.
Emily started at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® in September of 2013. She started as the first ever Marketing Manager at the Jackson, Miss location. Emily soon took on the position of Sales Manager, overseeing the sales team. In May 2016 Emily moved to North, Miss to begin a TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® location in Horn Lake, Miss while still overseeing the Jackson, Miss office. Emily and her husband moved back to Jackson, Miss to welcome their little girl Taylor in October of 2016.
In October of 2017 Michael and Emily were offered the opportunity to come run the Gulf Coast location, which was very exciting!
Emily says she enjoys the team of people she gets to work with everyday; and all the new people I get to network with on a daily basis. There are lots of great things about working at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® says Emily, one being I found my wonderful husband here and two, being able to tell anyone and everyone about what a great company I work for.
In Emily's free time she enjoys being active with her daughter Taylor, loving on her English bulldog, Ace, and eating lots of sushi.
After graduating high school, Michael Sham joined the Navy where he served for six years as an aviation electronics technician. At the young age of 19, Sham was given a great deal of responsibility, sometimes giving orders to men twice his age. “It certainly prepared me to be a leader and taught me how to be ready for anything that may come up,” said Sham. “There were so many different types of personalities in the military that it made me a better people person.”
Prior to joining TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® in 2013, he attended Belhaven University in Jackson, MS and earned a degree in exercise physiology. While pursuing his dream of becoming a strength and conditioning coach, Sham worked for the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Jackson, Miss location starting as a mover.
After working as a mover for two months, Sham took on the role of general manager at the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Jackson, Miss., franchise and truly launched his career within the system. As a participant in the first-ever Mary Ellen’s Moving People Forward® scholarship program, he and seven other managers across the system dedicated one year of extensive training to further enhance their knowledge of the inner workings of the franchising system, and ultimately lay the foundation for them in becoming a successful franchisee. As a result, Sham was awarded $10,000 to go toward opening his own franchise.
“The scholarship program taught me what it takes to get a successful new franchise off the ground. There is a lot that goes into getting an operation up and running and all the bases were covered in the program,” said Sham. “The relationships that were built during the program with Home Office and other franchisees and managers are invaluable. A lot of what I learned, I was able to implement at my current franchise.”
Sham opened his new franchise in Horn Lake, Miss., May of 2016 and a year later opened a satellite location in Oxford, Miss. “Michael has been a successful manager and is a shining example of the hard work and development that leads to success in our system. We are blessed as Michael moves forward to ownership and the great things he will accomplish,” said former TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® CFO Jeff Wesley.
Michael and his wife Emily have since then moved down to the Gulf Coast and began their journey as owners of the Gulf Coast TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® location. With two franchises and two satellite locations, Sham stays busy, but says “I’m so thankful to have been brought on by my partners to live the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® dream. I never imagined that one day I would be a small business owner.”
Say hello to Joey! Joey started out as a mover and quickly became one of our best drivers! He had a desire to learn the craft of moving, and he has taken off as one of our best movers! His attention to detail and sincere compassion for moving people make him a mover people request, for their moves! We are so thankful for Joey, his hard work day in and day out, and his attention to detail especially when tasked to clean and organize the trucks (this is one of his favorite things)!
Meet Brent, one of our newest drivers to come on board at our Gulfport, MS location. Brent has become a favorite among our customers at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Gulf Coast. See what one of Brent's customers he moved from Gulfport to Starkville had to say about her experience,
"Our movers, Brent and Ryland arrived on time and ready to work. They were prepared, courteous, friendly, and professional. I felt that they really respected my time by how focused they were on getting the job done quickly and efficiently. Additionally, the driver, Brent sent me text updates regarding their arrival to the moving destination and plans for delivery the next day. I found this to be very reassuring! Emily Sham answered all of my questions regarding how the move would work and about billing. She was available any time I needed her, and she made me feel like a priority. Two Men And A Truck is a company that still practices customer service and that is a rare thing these days! Thank you for caring for my things as if they were your things." -Lindsey S.
Say hello to D'andre, one of our drivers at our Gulfport, MS location. D'andre has been with our team for a little over a year and has been with the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK system for about 3 years. D'andre always makes sure the customer is taken care of and top priority! On a recent move, a customer's daughter reached out to us and said, "You rock! James, D’andre, and Jervey worked their butts off yesterday helping our mother, Virginia F., move. She had procrastinated and wasn’t quite ready but they were patient and made light of everything. They arrived early and stayed late. We appreciate their hard work ethics and compassion for mommas needs." If you see D'andre in Truck #5 give him a wave!
Meet Keith! Keith has been with us a little over a year and is one of our drivers. Keith loves to take interstate jobs so he can see the country! This guy is the sweetest and most caring mover! We love having Keith's positive attitude out on the trucks every day. Next time you see Keith in another state moving one of our MS customers, give him a wave!
Meet Roy! With his cajun' accent, you'll soon know this guy is from New Orleans for sure! Roy has worked with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK for the past 5 years, and we are so excited to welcome him to our team here in Gulfport. He has been a great asset to our team and is a true "mover who cares." You'll always catch Roy smiling and saying yes mam' with that New Orleans twang. We are so happy to have Roy join us!
Ryland has been with our team for over a year now! He has been a wonderful addition to our team starting out as a mover, and now has transitioned into one of our crew leads and driver! Ryland has jumped right on board and says interstate moves are his favorite because he gets to have mini-vacations all the time! Here is a review from one of Ryalnd's moves:
"The customer service reps Rebecca and Caitlin were very professional and a pleasure to work with, willing to work with my schedule very flexible. The movers Jacob and Ryland were very professional and courteous and thoughtful. All of these individuals represent your company very well and you should be proud. If I ever need a moving company in the future you can bet I will use you guys." Regards, Pierre P.
