We believe in the power of giving back and strive to make a positive impact through our community service initiatives.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Campaigns

Movers for Moms®

Here at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Gulf Coast, we value our mothers and the impact they have on the lives of others. That’s why every year we reach out and connect with our community to provide essentials items for mothers in need, no matter their circumstances. Movers for Moms® is a nationwide effort to help mothers in need get back on their feet and feel special.

How the Program Works

The Movers for Moms® campaign partners with local businesses and organizations to collect essential care items for women staying in local shelters. Our office will handle all logistics between shelter partners, trucks, pick-ups, deliveries, etc. In addition, we’ll supply your organization with collection boxes, posters, and literature about the program. We’ll also provide you with a list of items requested by the shelter to distribute to your office staff/clients. This year we will have a full list of collection sites where you can drop off the donated items.

Movers for Moms® 2024 Results

This year our annual Movers for Moms® campaign donated over a half of a moving truck filled with items for moms in need, estimating about 3,000 items! We had over 30 community partners that made this years donation drive so successful. The most needed item at the center was twin size sheets, and we will be able to donate 3 large boxes filled with brand-new bedding for their residents!

Movers for Moms with Family

We were overwhelmed by the amount collected in 2024 and we can't wait to see how many donations we collect in 2025! None of this would have been possible without our community partners. We collected over 1,500 items for both the Gulf Coast Nonviolence Center for and the Women's Resource Center. We want to THANK YOU for your support of our Movers for Moms® campaign and can't wait for next year!

BACK BAY MISSION

We were excited to partner with Back Bay Mission for our Movers for Military Program last year! For every Facebook "like" we got for the month of October through Sunday, November 11 (Veteran's Day), we donated $1 to the Back Bay Mission Veteran's Support Fund. We ended up donating $500 to Back Bay Mission!

Back Bay Mission has a simple mission: to strengthen neighborhoods, seek justice, and transform lives. Back Bay Mission has multiple, unique ministries where they are able to give back to people who are in need and pour their servant hearts back into our community on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. As a volunteer, we at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® get just as much out of partnering with such a wonderful organization as they receive from the help we provide. Whether they are helping a homeowner keep their home, mentoring a single mother as she plans her path out of poverty, or working with an intern who is thinking about a career in social work, Back Bay Mission is making the lives of the people we serve better!

CASA OF JACKSON COUNTY

Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASA, provides a powerful voice for abused and neglected children. These advocates are highly-trained and dedicated individuals who are fact finders for the judge by researching the background of each child's case; and they speak for the child in the courtroom, representing the child's best interests. CASA works to move the children they represent as quickly and effectively as possible through the system and into a safe, permanent home.

One of our Core Values at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK- Gulfport, MS & Hattiesburg, MS is to "give back to the community." We are so thankful for the work Jackson County CASA does in our community and we were so excited to help them again this holiday season! We picked up and delivered lots of Christmas goodies for around 40 children, that were sponsored by employees at the Golden Nugget Biloxi!!
