Dedicated to the Minneapolis community
Movers for Moms®
Last year, we partnered with other community-minded businesses and organizations during our Movers for Moms® campaign. Together, we collected hundreds of essential care items for mothers in domestic abuse or homeless shelters, just in time for Mother’s Day. We are proud to call the following businesses our partners: First Free Church Minneapolis, City Looks Salon, The Hair District Plymouth, The Hair District St. Louis Park, Maple Grove Chiropractic, Claris Eye Center, Candlelight Floral, Kindercare, Adams Spanish Immersion and Cornerstone. Together, we made Mother’s Day brighter for dozens of women and their children.
Partnerships and Organizations
Twin cities kids in need resource center
Twin Cities Kids In Need Resource Center’s mission is to see that every child, in every school, has the same advantage in the classroom and gains confidence needed to succeed in life. Therefore, they provide students in need with supplied filled backpacks. We contribute our services by delivering these pallets of backpacks to local schools.
Bike MS / Cargill
C.H. Robinson is the title sponsor of the Bike MS: C.H. Robinson MS 150 ride for the sixth consecutive year. Since 2004, C.H. Robinson employees, family and friends have been participating in this two-day bike ride that covers 150 miles from Duluth to the Twin Cities. Donations raised through the ride directly help people impacted by multiple sclerosis (MS) by funding support programs, services, and cutting-edge research. Each year we send five of our moving trucks to Duluth with the bikers participating in the ride. Our movers use the trucks to transport and store the participants’ bikes and bags throughout the three-day event. Cargill has participated in this ride for many years and are proud to support the MS Society and their efforts. Cargill has historically been in the top three fundraising teams and we work together with them on this event.
Stamp Out Hunger/ Second Harvest
Every second Saturday in May, letter carriers in more than 10,000 cities and towns across America collect the goodness and compassion of their postal customers, who participate in the NALC Stamp Out Hunger National Food Drive — the largest one-day food drive in the nation. We set up our trucks at Cub Foods and load all of the food that is being donated. We then deliver the items to Second Harvest to give to local families in need.
For over 30 years, Cornerstone staff have been serving adults and children traumatized by unhealthy, destructive relationships based on power and control. Throughout our history, they have dedicated themselves to helping people build healthy and violence-free lives for themselves and their families. Every spring we run our Movers for Moms® campaign to collect donations and deliver them to the women of Cornerstone. We work with local community organizations to collect goods that will make Mother’s Day extra special living at this shelter.
Edina Public Schools
The mission of Creek Valley Elementary School is to educate the mind and heart of each student in a safe and positive environment with shared, active, and meaningful learning through careful planning and an emphasis on community partnership and the practice and application of ethical values. At the end of each school year, Creek Valley Elementary runs the Creek Valley food drive. The students collect food donations for the Trinity Mission in St. Paul. We donate a truck and 2 crew members to collect and drop off the items. The kids help us load the truck by bringing the items out to the loading dock and then at the unload they disperse items from the speed packs.
Christ Presbyterian Church
A church in Edina, MN, committed to "inspiring all generations to follow Jesus, love others, and live missionally. We have assisted the Christ Presbyterian Church with their Adopt-A-Family program. It is a Deacon ministry that provides Christmas gifts for families who otherwise can’t afford them. We also helped out during the Joy of Giving where they collect gift items to help kids and teens be able to shop for gifts for their loved ones. For each of these events we donated boxes, our trucks and crew to collect and drop off the items.
The Edina Baseball Association
