At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Livonia, we’re committed to giving back to the communities that have supported us and helped us grow. One of our proudest partnerships is with MCHS Family of Services. Over the past year, we’ve donated our movers, trucks, and time to support their incredible mission—whether that meant relocating their offices, delivering 75 donated bikes, or stepping in wherever they needed an extra hand. This October, we’re honored to assist with moving items for their Light the Way Gala at Ford Field. MCHS Family of Services makes a tremendous impact in our community, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to play a part in their work.
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Campaigns
Movers for Moms®
Each year, in April and May, as part of our Movers for Moms® program, we organize a collection of essential care items for women and children who are staying at First Step Shelter of Wayne. First Step is the only non-profit agency in out-Wayne County providng comprehensive services for victims of domestic and sexual violence.
This year, we collected over 500 items with the help of our friends at Little Tots Livonia, and Team Rehabiltation. We are pleased to make Mother's Day a little brighter for the families at First Step.
Movers for Mutts
We appreciate Kroger at 1905 N. Canton Center and their generouse shoppers who donated pet food and supplies for our Movers for Mutts campaign this fall. We delivered the donations to the Michigan Humane Society in Westland. The Michigan Humane Society finds homes for thousands of animals each year. All animals deserve to be cared for and loved, homeless or not.

BLESSINGS IN A BACKPACK LIVONIA
Another great opportunity for us to give-back this year includes supporting Blessings in a Backpack. Blessings In a Backpack is a "neighbor-helping-neighbor" program that is designed to help meet the nutritional needs of children and families. Each week, volunteers distribute backpacks filled with enough non-perishable food for the weekend to "at-risk" students. The goal of the program is to keep these students from going hungry on the weekends and to remove barriers to academic success. We are very proud to help with the logistics of Blessings in a Backpack.
OPERATION GOOD CHEER
Each year, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Livonia picks up Christmas gift donations from local metro Detroit businesses. We deliver the gifts to volunteers at Operation Good Cheer. This year, 2017, OGC gathered and delivered just under 20,000 gifts thoughout Michigan. It took 34 trucking companies, 255 planes, and an army of volunteers to make Christmas happen for over 6,400 children in Michigan foster care homes.
Plymouth-Canton Little League
We enjoyed our third year of sponsorship of the Plymouth-Canton Little League Opening Day. Truckie had fun meeting and greeting the players and parents.
