Movers for Moms®

At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, our core values are lived out on a daily basis across the country. The annual MOVERS FOR MOMS® campaign is how we demonstrate the core value to Give Back to the Community. This community effort was created by TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® ten years ago to collect essential care items to mothers living in homeless or domestic abuse shelters. The goal is to provide moms with gifts each Mother’s Day, regardless of their situation.

We're proud to announce that the 2020 MOVERS FOR MOMS® campaign will benefit our longtime partner, Mel Trotter Ministries! Mell Trotter works to end homelessness in West Michigan and assist people in Kent County who are experiencing homelessness. Our team and community partners will be collecting essential care items for mothers and families-in-need until the week before Mother's Day. Movers for Mutts®

The MOVERS FOR MUTTS® 2017 campaign has officially wrapped! In it's first year for TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Grand Rapids North, we were able to collect a total of 343 items for the Humane Society of West Michigan! Truckload of Warmth®

We are proud to announce that the 2017 TRUCKLOAD OF WARMTH® campaign was able to collect over 330 winter clothing essentials to support North Kent Connect! We couldn't have done it without the support of our community partners - Oaks of Rockford, local Independent Bank locations, Great Northern Trading Co., and West Michigan Insurance.

Access of West Michigan

The mission of Access of West Michigan(opens in a new window) is to be a faith-based leader in linking congregational, individual, and community resources to eliminate hunger and reduce the impact of poverty in Kent County. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK works with Access to pick up food donations and deliver them to churches around Grand Rapids. There are over 300 congregations working with Access of West Michigan to meet needs in the community.

Grand Rapids Civic Theatre

The Grand Rapids Civic Theatre and School of Theatre Arts(opens in a new window) is one of the oldest and largest community theatres in the nation. As a community theatre, the Grand Rapids Civic Theatre understands the importance of individuals feeling engaged to the mission. The Theatre’s focus is in providing experiences through highest quality performances, the award winning education programs and outreach. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK provides delivery services for their traveling troupes' costumes and sets while they perform around the Grand Rapids community.

Humane Society of West Michigan

The Humane Society of West Michigan's(opens in a new window) mission to promote the humane treatment and responsible care of animals in West Michigan through education, example, placement and protection. With the help of volunteers and community support, they are able to assist over 8,000 animals annually all while receiving no funding from the government or national animal welfare foundations. Programs are also offered for the public to help reduce pet overpopulation, provide assistance for low-income families, and reuniting lost pets with their owners. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Grand Rapids North is grateful for this opportunity and hopes you'll join us in supporting them! 

Mel Trotter Ministries

Mel Trotter Ministries(opens in a new window) is a non-profit organization which exists to end homelessness and help people in their faith journey. Mel Trotter has been the safety net for the community for over 116 years and is the largest mission in West Michigan, serving over 400 people daily. Mel Trotter is a gospel rescue mission that meets people where they are at with compassion, respect, while preserving their dignity. It is the only organization that welcomes anyone in need, including men, women, children, youth and people struggling with addiction, mental illness and physical disabilities. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is so grateful for the opportunity to support the women and children at Mel Trotter.

YWCA

The YWCA West Central Michigan(opens in a new window) transforms lives with empowerment programs for girls and the community's most comprehensive services to address domestic and dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, and child sexual abuse. At the heart of their mission, YWCA works towards Eliminating Racism; Empowering Women and Girls; and Promoting Peace, Justice, Freedom, and Dignity for All. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is honored to have had the opportunity in 2016 to collect over 1,500 necessary items for women and children for the YWCA West Central Michigan through our Movers for Moms® campaign.
