Our dedication to the community

We take pride in being members of the Brownstown Community and giving back is at the heart of who we are!

Downriver for Veterans opened its doors in April of 2017 and is already providing food assistance to over 53 area veteran families.  The non-profit was started by Ann Rudisill who is an Air Force veteran.  She saw a need in the community and went to work.  TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is proud to have partnered with Kroger on this event.  Over 1300 pounds of donated items were delivered to the warehouse in Wyandotte, home to Downriver for Veterans.

Movers for Moms®

We joined the Movers for Moms® charity initiative since it began in 2007 and have partnered with Gorno Ford and Abed Orthodontics to collect thousands of household items for the individuals at Monroe Sunrise House. We have also helped provide thousands of pounds of non-perishable food to Gleaners Food Bank in Detroit each fall which is their busiest time of the year.

Day of Caring is held by the United Way and invites family, friends and co-workers to take part and make a huge impact on many peoples’ lives.  During Day of Caring 2016, an amazing 4,477 lbs. of food and $1,200 were collected. That translates into 10,535 meals for local food programs! We appreciate the opportunity to help such a great cause.

We began working with Fish and Loaves Food Pantry in Taylor in 2016.  In 2017 we started work on the Detroit Food Recovery Program at Providence Hospital in Southfield.  Our office goes to the hospital twice a month to pick up items for the Fish and Loaves Food Pantry.  What a great way to give back and a great partnership!

This event is sponsored by Fish and Loaves Food Pantry and TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is proud to support such a great cause.  This is a fun day for the whole family.  Donations of canned goods for the Fish and Loaves pantry shelves are collected during the run and TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®  provides a truck to transport all of the collected items to the food pantry after the conclusion of the run.  We love supporting our local community and seeing our trucks used in such a great way!
