Moving our Community Forward

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Campaigns

Movers for Moms®

“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” -Winston Churchill

We believe in the importance of giving back to our community. Since opening in November 2014 we have provided more than $100,000 in moving supplies, services, and cash donations to local organizations throughout Anne Arundel County and the surrounding areas. Every spring we participate in Movers for Moms®, a program where we partner with local shelters, schools, and other community organizations to collect goods that will make Mother’s Day special for moms living in shelters.

Checkout our updated list of partners who always serve as donation drop off sites. Additionally we proudly support the local organization listed below through moving services or supplies free of charge and monetary donations.

We are kicking off our 2019 Movers for Moms® donation drive with a fantastic group of businesses who have volunteered to collect donations:

  • Christina Josephs Salon Studio

  • Edward Jones- Arnold

  • Edward Jones - Odenton

  • The Face Paint Lady US

  • Webgirl Tech

  • CICI Styles Boutique

Stop in to any of these businesses to drop off your donations. If your business would like to volunteer as a collection site, or would like to help out in any way, please contact us at info0396@twomen.com.

Local Partners

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY FOOD BANK

We had the pleasure of meeting the staff and volunteers at the Anne Arundel County Food Bank in Crownsville last year when they treated us to a homemade lunch onsite and a tour of thier facility. AACFB is more than just a food bank, they collect a variety of other donations including furniture.

We work with them to collect furntiure from donors on an as needed basis and we refer our customers to them when they are looking to make furniture donations. Our Annual Movers for Meals Campaign collected food for the Anne Arundel County Food Bank in Crownsville.

HOUSE OF RUTH MARYLAND

One of the nation’s leading intimate partner violence centers in Baltimore. We first got to know House of Ruth through their program Man Up! which encourages men to take a lead in ending violence against women. House of Ruth then became one of the two recipient organizations for our 1st Movers for Moms® and since then we have worked with them to pick up donations and move their resale boutique Ruth's Closet.

Light House

A Homeless Prevention Support Center in Annapolis. Our relationship with Light House began early in 2015 when they were one of two recipient organizations for our 1st Movers for Moms®. Since then we continue to partner with Light House to provide moves for residents & donation pickup. It has been our pleasure to provide these services and we look forward to a long relationship with Light House and the individuals they serve!

Wreaths Across America

Coordinating wreath laying ceremonies for fallen soldiers across the country. We donated 15 wreaths to be laid at the Arlington National Cemetery.  When the volunteers lay a wreath on each veteran's grave, that veteran's name is said aloud. We were honored to be part of this.
