South Bend Community Service
Living in the community that has given our company everything, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® South Bend realizes just how important it is to give back! As of this year, our company has raised countless donations for local charities including, the Food Bank of Northern Indiana and Hannah’s House. Some of our proudest moments include our Movers for Moms®, Movers for Mutts, Movers for Meals, Movers for Military, and Truckload of Warmth campaigns. We also owe gratitude to our professional partners at the St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce, Elkhart Chamber of Commerce, and the Michiana Networking Group for all of their support in raising money and awareness for our community outreach programs! We are excited to continue our mission to give back to our community, and hope with help from all our friends in South Bend, Goshen, Elkhart, and the Mishawaka area that we can beat our dollar amount raised from last year, and continue making a difference in the world around us!
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Campaigns
Moving Students Forward Scholarship
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® South Bend is the proud donor of the Moving Students Forward Scholarship to the University of Notre Dame. This scholarship has been awarded to one deserving student working towards a degree in finance every year since its debut in 2016. By assisting the awarded student with financial matters, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® hopes that they will then be able to follow their dreams at school, and find success in their future!
Movers For Moms®
First launched in 2007 by TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, the Movers for Moms® program seeks to recognize moms in crisis on Mother’s Day by arranging a delivery of gifts to women living in local shelters on the holiday weekend. In 2016, every TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® location across 39 states collected more than 285,000 items for women living in shelters on Mother’s Day. Here in South Bend, we have partnered with several businesses and schools to make our local collection drive as strong as possible! We would love to extend a huge thank you to our community partners- Hubbard Hill Estates Retirement Community, Brentwood at Elkhart, Eastlake Terrace, Saint Paul's Retirement Community, Wood Ridge Assisted Living, Castle Point Apartments, Wellbrooke of South Bend, Georgetown Apartments- by helping us donate over 1000 items to Hannah's House on Mother's Day!
Movers For Mutts®
Movers for Mutts is a non-profit community program hosted by TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® South Bend, and sponsored by the Roseland Animal Hospital, with a mission of helping animal shelters that foster stray animals. With the program being in its fourth year, our team set a goal of collecting over 500 items to donate to the Humane Society of the St. Joseph County! However, thanks to all of friends and partners in the communities of Elkhart, Granger, & Mishawaka, our franchise was able to collect about $3,000 worth of needed supplies to donate to the Humane Society of the St. Joseph County! We would like to give a special mention to our following community partners: Happy Tail's, The Cat's Meow, Rural King, Pet Palace Resort & Spa Inc., Petco Animal Supplies, Tractor Supply, Cat Nap Inn, Paws & Claws Pet Spa, Well Pet LLC., Two Dogs And A Cat, Martins Paw Mart in Granger & Mishawaka, Kountry Kennels, Brentwood at Eastlake Terrace, Wood Ridge Assisted Living, Georgetown Apartments, and Roseland Animal Hospital. Once again, thank you to everyone who stopped by either our franchise, or one of the locations above, and donated to this wonderful cause, and proving- yet again- why they call us the "Movers Who Care®"!
The need in our community to have a safe place for pregnant teens to live during their pregnancy was first recognized by staff from Women’s Care Center. The vision of Hannah's House home became a joint project of Bethel College, the Catholic Diocese of Fort Wayne – South Bend, Saint Joseph Hospital in Mishawaka, and Women’s Care Center. A Board of Directors was formed from the sponsoring agencies, a home near the hospital was secured, and staff were hired. In 1993, Mother Care Home opened its doors to serve unwed teen mothers who were facing crisis pregnancies.
Humane Society of the St. Joseph County
Incorporated in 1886, we are one of Indiana’s oldest service organizations and still the areas largest animal care facility. Servicing the greater St. Joseph County region and multiple municipalities, the HSSJC sees over 3,750 animals each year. Providing a vast array of community services and educational programs the Humane Society of St. Joseph County truly looks to embody it’s motto of “WE CARE” on many levels!

Northern Indiana Food Band
In May 1993, United Religious Community of St. Joseph County’s Hunger Education Task Force accepted the challenge of reestablishing food banking services in north central Indiana. That July, an organizing committee brought together the first board of directors that agreed that the Northern Indiana Food Bank would be the organization of record created to address local problems of hunger and malnutrition by providing quality food.
