TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Campaigns

Movers for Moms®

We are thrilled to kick off our 2023 MOVERS FOR MOMS® campaign. A special thank you to 103.9 Wane FM and Vera Bradley for additional promotion and donations!

This campaign aims to collect essential care items for local mothers in need. These items include soap, shampoo and conditioner, toothbrushes, twin bed sheets, clothing, and hairbrushes. Our shelter recipient for these collected items is Charis House and St. Joseph Missions, which both serve women and homeless families with children by keeping them together in the crisis of homelessness.

A list of items for donation can be found here(opens in a new window). All items are recommendations, specific products are not necessary!

Your donations are greatly appreciated!

Truckload of Warmth

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Fort Wayne started partnering with other local businesses with the goal of supporting localfamilies in need of warmth during the cold winter season. The National Coalition for the Homeless states that 44% of the nation's homeless are unsheltered. During the month of November we are collecting gently used winter clothing and delivering it to a local charity to make a difference during the blistering cold winters in our community. Items can be dropped off during November at our local franchise and other collections sites during the month. For more information stay up to date on our social media sites or call our office.

Movers for Meals®

To help support local families facing hunger crises around the country, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® - Fort Wayne hosts the Movers for Meals food drive year round. The Movers for Meals recieve additional focus between October and November, just before Thanksgiving. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® - Fort Wayne partners with universites such as University of Saint Francis and IPFW, local businesses, and food pantries such at Community Harvest Food Bank to collect non-perishable food items with the goal of putting more food on tables.

Local Partners

Coats for Kids - Volunteer Center

Coats for Kids distributes new and gently used warm winter coats to low-income children in northeast Indiana. Over 60,000 coats and clothing items have been distributed since 2000. The coats are given to children in local schools, shelters, and social service agencies. The event typically runs through November.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK partners with the Volunteer Center to provide boxes for the coats to be collected and transportation if needed!

Knowing more kids will be warm and have the winter necessities, literally warms our hearts and we look forward to the event each year.

The League for the Blind and Disabled - Christmas Drive

The League is a Center for Independent Living that serves people with disabilities and communities in northeast Indiana. Each year The League collects gifts and donations to be able to sponsor families for the holidays. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is excited to help them each year collect and transport the gifts from the collection site to their facility.

Community Harvest Food Bank

The Mission of Community Harvest is to alleviate hunger through the full use of donated food and other resources throughout Northeast Indiana. Each year, Community Harvest distributes more than 13 million pounds of food to nearly 85,000 individuals. To support their mission, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® has partnered with Community Harvest's "Crush Hunger" challenge. Each fall, Purdue University Fort Wayne, University of Saint Francis, Ivy Tech Community College, Indiana Tech University, Huntington University and Manchester University gear up for a friendly competition to raise food and funds in support of hunger relief. In 2020, "Crush Hunger" collected over 100,000 pounds of food for families and individuals through Community Harvest's programs and member agencies, and on-campus food pantries.

American Cancer Society - Making Strides Fort Wayne

In October communities make an extra effort to show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK is a proud sponsor of Making Strides Fort Wayne and the American Cancer Society. During the Making Strides Walk hundreds and sometimes even thousands of survivors and supporters gather to walk for a cause and uplift one another. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK hosts a Wall of Hope where messages are written on a pink ribbon and left for a loved one in support of their journey.

Cinderella Dress Day

Cinderella Dress Day is held each spring as free event for all female high school students, featuring formal dresses and accessories.

Since its inception nineteen years ago, it is estimated that over 3,400 dresses have been given to young ladies in our community, with a value of over $245,000. We provide gently used formal wear and accessories like shoes, jewelry, and wraps to any area high school student who attends, in addition to educational opportunities directed to young women at this crucial stage in their lives.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® helps by transporting dressed and other items from their storage unit to the Grand Wayne Center for the event!
