We proudly participate in the Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce and various local business groups, holding an “A+” accreditation from the Better Business Bureau. Our commitment to the community drives us to support Northwest Indiana charities consistently, investing both time and resources. Right now, we’re hosting our annual Movers for Moms® campaign, running through May 7th, collecting donations to replenish the pantries at The Caring Place shelter for the families they serve. Movers for Moms®- Caring Place
We are proud partners helping collect items for the Caring Place as a part of MOVERS FOR MOMS®. Caring Place supports victims of domestic violence and their children. In just the last 5 years alone we have given over 5000 items for client usage and just things necessary to live. Each year we rely on a variety of local businesses and churches each spring to help be collection sites. Places like Christ Lutheran Church, St. Andrews, First Christian Church, Living Hope Church, Growing Kids daycare, Barnes and Nobles, Edward Jones offices, and the Valpo Chamber building among other places in the area; we could not do it without the people who donate and the places who help us collect. The best part of this project is the reaction we get from the Caring Place themselves, beyond appreciative and getting helpful items in the hands of those who need it most. Beyond the MOVERS FOR MOMS® campaign, we also do other charitable things when possible like donate time and service to charitable organizations and organizations like the Chamber of Commerce. We try not to just be a part of the community but also an asset to it as well.
Local Partners
Boys and Girls Club of America
The Boys & Girls Club of America holds a Steak and Burger dinner fundraiser that gives a chance for adults and children to connect and share experiences. An auction is held where bicycles are auctioned off so these children can have bicycles. We then provide deliver these bicycles to help the children in our local community.
Housing Oppurtunities
Housing Opportunities helps provide homes for the homeless and help people in the community keep their homes and teaches sustainable lifestyles. We help Housing Opportunities by providing moving supplies and moving services.
United Way
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® of Valparaiso partners with The United Way to deliver 6,000 stuffed animals to elementary schools around Northwest Indiana for the Reading Buddies program. The stuffed animals that we deliver are used as reading tools to increase young students literacy skills.
Valpo Parks Foundation
Valpo Parks Foundation is in charge of many local events, parks and community sports. This year we are proudly sponsoring 24 different Tee Ball/ Baseball and Soccer teams for the Spring, Summer, and Fall. We also helped deliver brand new playground equipment such as slides and swings to a recently built children's park named Valplayso.
