Movers for Moms®
For our annual Movers for Moms® campaign, in which we collect essential care items for local mothers in need, we have partnered with the Haven House Domestic Abuse Shelter and work with Flat Rock Middle School in Tyrone as a collection location. Our moving trucks are used to collect donations such as clothing, furniture, and household goods to donate to the shelter. These donations truly help take care of women and children who are the unfortunate victims of domestic abuse. We are proud to participate in this system-wide initiative and the 2016 version which just concluded was our most successful campaign yet. With our partners at Flat Rock Middle School, we were able to fill more than 40 boxes with donations that the local community generously donated. Thank you to everyone in the South Atlanta area who donated!
Not Just Local Movers; A Part of the Stockbridge and McDonough Communities
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Stockbridge/McDonough is deeply involved with the South Atlanta community. We work with the local food bank,
volunteer with the local Helping in his Hands Ministry, and execute pick-ups for Bonner Brothers Transitional Homes in Lithonia – an organization dedicated to helping veterans and others to get back on their feet. Additionally, we have participated in an Annual Coat Drive, “We Got You Covered,” where over 500 coats were collected and handed out from our trucks to those in need. We also have the pleasure of working with Toys for Tots annually and have donated more than $15,000 worth of move-related services over the past few years.
Franchise Action Network
Our team is a proud participant in the International Franchise Association's (IFA) Franchise Action Network. Members of our
management and ownership teams travel to Washington DC each September to literally march on Capitol Hill. We are able to have face-to-face time with our elected officials including Congressman David Scott, and Senators David Perdue and Johnny Isakson. These meetings are crucial to not only the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® brand, but small businesses all over the state of Georgia as we are able to discuss issues in a in-depth fashion, such as Joint Employer legislation and the pending Overtime Rule that can adversely impact employers all over our great state. We invite all South Atlanta franchise businesses to join this campaign with us so that we can all make a positive change in legislation.
Movers for mutts
We are elated to partner with the Henry County Humane Society in McDonough for our annual Movers for Mutts adoption drive. The mission of the partnership is to raise much needed funds for the local chapter of the Humane Society while also increasing adoptions for local dogs and cats who need their forever home. We also accept donations of much needed supplies like dog food, cat food, cleaning supplies, and of course, toys! We would like to thank everyone in the Henry County community for their overwhelming outreach and support. Our 2016 recently wrapped up and we are thrilled to announce that because of the overwhelming generosity in the community, we were able to raise $2000! Thank you so much again for all of your support!!
Giving back to the community is a part of our fabric at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Stockbridge/McDonough. We consistently work to “Move People Forward®” and apply THE GRANDMA RULE®, which is treating everyone the way we would want our own Grandma to be treated on each and every move. We feel giving back to the local community is very important and the only way to do business. By building relationships and providing help to people in need, we keep the love flowing full circle and are able to give back to the community that has supported our growth over the years. Whether you are moving locally in and around Stockbridge, Jonesboro, McDonough, or moving long-distance, our philosophy of Customer Service and Community involvement never waivers.
