Dedicated to our Acworth community

Have you seen us?  We're out and about

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK at a community shopping center pop-up event

It's not uncommon for you to see our mascot, Truckie, at local community events. We had a blast participating in Acworth's Touch a Truck and Kennesaw State University's Owl-O-Ween event last fall. This spring Truckie has already been spotted at Acworth's Egg Hunt, and at an Antique Car Show.  If you see us set up, come by and say hi!!!  We have even more fun events planned for Truckie next year, including helping runners stretch before races!

Giving back to the community

Giving back to the community is one of our core values that we really take to heart. We do over $25,000 worth of charity moves within the community each year to deserving 501c3 charities. Whether that's delivering Cherdocials to kids at a local hospital, working with Ronald McDonald House, partnering with Rally Kids to help put on events to raise awareness for cancer, volunteering our owner as a "Celebrity Guest" to present awards at the Georgia Special Olympics, or helping set up a local church's Oktoberfest outreach... we're right there in the community making sure they have what they need.

Dropping off donations to 7 Bridges, a local woman's shelter

In addition to the partnerships with local charities for isolated moves. We have 2 special collection drives each year to help collect goods for those in need: MOVERS FOR MOMS® in the Spring and MOVERS FOR MUTTS® in the fall. If you see one of our collection bins out, please consider donating. We want to make sure our mothers in shelters aren't forgotten and have their esstential items around Mother's Day and our shelter pups have their needs met too, specifically around Thanksgiving, so they can find their new furever home!!

Movers for Moms Table

This year we also partnered with a group of local breweries in the area to help with their toy collection for MUST Ministeries' Toy Shop.  So far we've already donated over 500 toys for their 2024 Toy Shop!!

We've been on the news recently for our boxtume ideas!  Both Peachtree TV and Fox First News invited us to come on and show them some creative uses for our boxes. Halloween may be over, but if you've got kids you know there is always some sort of dress up day at school.

Community talks to our owner

Ever curious what it's like to be a business owner? Much less one of a moving company? It's FUN!!! But don't take our word for it. Get to know our owner, Holly, and her story of how she became a business owner. She lives here in the area, loves giving back to the community and is a constant fixture not only at our office but you can also find her at community events, and networking events sometimes she may even swing by your move!!! She sat down recently with Burn the Ship for a podcast as well as ATL Voyage to discuss her journey as a small business owner. Watch the video below and then read the ATL Voyage article here.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Campaigns

Movers for Moms®

Adhering to our central core value—THE GRANDMA RULE®-- we are proud to dedicate trucks, time, and our team to give back to the community. Our annual Movers for Moms® campaign centers on collecting essential items for local mothers in need and delivering those items to shelters here in our community.

This year we collected more than 2700 personal items for mother's in need at 7 Bridges to Recovery located in Smyrna. They have room for 105 women and children. 7 Bridges to Recovery goes and finds homeless women from under bridges and the Bluff and gives them food and meets their basic needs while trying to help them get off the streets. We have donatation boxes at our offices in Acworth and Smyrna as well as at 7 Bridges to Recovery. Thanks in advance to those who donated to these women and made their mothers day so special! We look forward to next year!

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY/ RESTORE

Recently we took an active role in helping a new Habitat for Humanity Restore open in the Smyrna area. We work closely with Habitat for Humanity already moving two families into new homes a year, so when we learned they were opening a shop by our sister store in Smyrna we ran to see how we could help.  Habitat for Humanity is a great company that helps to better people's lives by providing families with their own home. We did everything from moving items into the store, cleaning and prepping the warehouse space, and staging the items. We are cheering for their success!
