Serving the Sarasota Community Since 1998
Movers for Moms®
Again this year we collected donations for our Movers for Moms® 2018 program. Each spring, along with many schools and individuals, we work to collect items for moms in need in the Sarasota, Bradenton, and Venice areas. All donated items are donated to SPARCC, the only state-certified center for victims of domestic violence in Sarasota and Desoto Counties.
In addition to serving survivors of domestic and sexual violence, SPARCC (Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center) is actively engaged in promoting social change through community awareness and education in an effort to prevent violence in the future. SPARCC serves its clients through anOutreach Center in downtown Sarasota, a shelter operating 365 days a year, a 24 hour crisis helpline, and hospital and local courthouse accompaniment. SPARCC is our Movers for Moms® Community Partner.
Partnerships and organizations
Here at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® we dedicate our time and resources to the community and sponsor many events and local charities including:
Southside Elementary School
Southside Elementary School is one of our charitable business partners and Jog-a-Thon Sponsor. To learn, to dream, to laugh, to love every child, every day - whatever it takes!
First Presbyterian Preschool
First Presbyterian Preschool strives to provide an enriching program in a Christian setting to all children, regardless of race, religion, creed, or national origin. First Presbyterian Preschool allows for the individuality of each child in order to build positive attitudes toward self, others, and learning. Children’s understanding of the world around them, and thus their intellectual development, is stimulated through play. Through play children expand their language skills, formulate theories, solve problems, and develop curiosity.
FC Sarasota Soccer
FC Sarasota has a game for all kids and programs to fit every need, from U4 to U18, whether you play Recreation or Competitive. Thedevelopment of a soccer player takes time and patience. They believe that this process should be very enjoyable for youth players and should not be rushed. FC Sarasota does not follow an outcome based approach but a process based approach. The long term development of the players takes precedence over the short term goal of a match score.
Forty Carrots Family Learning Center
Founded in 1993, Forty Carrots Family Center is guided by a vision that all parents will provide their children with experiences and environments that are emotionally and physically safe so that they can grow into capable and caring young people. The early years of life are crucially important to the overall development of our children and therefore offer unprecedented opportunities to provide experiences that have lifelong positive impact. Forty Carrots serves Sarasota and Manatee counties and has three core components: Parenting Education Program, Mental Health Services, and a Nationally Accredited Preschool. We assist with the moving for several events including Wine, Women, & Shoes and TheFirefly Gala.
The mission of The Circus Arts Conservatory is to engage and educate children using unique and innovative learning programs; to measurably improve the quality of life for individuals in care facilities; and to advance the extraordinary legacy and heritage of the circus. The Circus Arts Conservatory’s extraordinary mission underscores its commitment to sharing the entertainment, education and enrichment that Circus Arts provide.
Shoes for Orphans
For the last 3 years, The JOY FM family has given over 43,716 pairs of shoes to orphans in Guatemala and Peru. Carmen Needs New Shoes is amonth-long effort in late summer to collect shoes for children in orphanages in Central & South America. These are kids who would not have a new, clean pair of tennis shoes ever, except that the JOY FM listening community made it their mission to provide for these children. We collected shoes along with the other TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Florida franchises.
Sarasota Little League
The Sarasota Little League, also known as the Central Sarasota County Little League, is a great place for families to connect and enjoy an international pastime that has been a fabric of societies throughout the world for 75 years.
Mothers Helping mothers
Since 1990, Mothers Helping Mothers, Inc., an all volunteer not-for-profit organization, has been providing basic necessities such as clothing and baby items free of charge to families in need. All items are donated or purchased through grant funding or private contributions and are provided free of charge to their clients. They help over 6,000 families in a single year.
We are proud to contribute to the local economy as a job creator but also as a business that gets involved to make a difference in the community. Contact us today for more information or to get started with your next relocation. We look forward to moving you forward!
