Supporting East Orlando's Community

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® East Orlando is committed to the Core Value of giving back to the community. We believe it's important to use our resources and expertise to help members of the community in which we live and work. Each spring we participate in the annual Movers for Moms® collection drive to benefit women and children residing in Harbor House of Central Florida and we conduct a fall collection campaign called Movers for Mutts®  to assist animals in the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando. This spring we had the opportunity to work with Cheeriodicals, an organization that partners with businesses to create team-building events in which employees assemble boxes of cheer which are then delivered to young patients and families being served by a children's hospital in the area. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® employees delivered the "big green boxes of cheer" to the patients at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children during our Annual Meeting held in Orlando in early March.Throughout the year we also assist local charitable organizations with complimentary moving services. If you would like to participate as a collection partner for either our spring or fall campaigns or if you know a charitable organization in need of moving services, please call our local office.

Movers for Moms

One of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®’s core values is giving back to our community.  Each year we participate in the Movers for Moms® program which is a collection campaign for local shelters who house women, children and pets who have survived domestic abuse. As we have done in previous years, we are collecting on behalf of Harbor House of Central Florida. We have collection boxes in businesses around Orlando including, Sunrise Bank, Savannah Grand of Maitland, Kindercare and Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando. If you know of a business who would like to participate with us in this collection campaign, please give us a call!

Movers for Mutts

The Orlando East franchise launched its second annual Movers for Mutts campaign in early October. With Hurricane Irma, we've heard a lot about the importance of caring for one's pets during a storm. Our Movers for Mutts program recipient is Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando. We secured partnerships with Aunt B's Pet Grooming, All 4 Pets Belle Isle and Jarrett Ford  to collect items from a Wish List provided by Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando. We believe it's important to give back to our community and our Movers for Mutts program is one way to accomplish that by helping our furry friends! If you would like to participate in next year's Movers for Mutts collection drive, please contact our office.

American Cancer Society - Cattle Baron's Ball fundraiser

American Cancer Society

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® was privileged to provide moving services to the American Cancer Society in support of the Cattle Baron's Ball fundraiser.  Sarah Carlson, American Cancer Society Development Manager, was very excited that TWO MEN AND A TRUCK wanted to give back to the community in this way. By providing complimentary moving services it helped to off-set the other costs associated with the event which helped raise funds for the Society to finish the fight against cancer. The event was held at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel on Saturday, April 14.

Dress for Success Greater Orlando

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® has a set of Core Values that guide us throughout the year. A very important one is giving back to our community. Many times we are able to offer complimentary moving services to 501(c)(3) organizations. We recently worked with Dress For Success Greater Orlando to provide the manpower necessary to move clothing for a sale to raise funds for their organization. Dress for Success of Greater Orlando was created to fill a critical need for interview appropriate clothing for low-income women entering the workforce. They help solve the dilemma: Without a job, how can I afford a suit? Without a suit, how can I get the job? Since they first opened their doors in May 2001, they’ve served 800-1,000 women per year in Central Florida. Their boutique is designed to help women shop for their clothing in an atmosphere of support and encouragement, helping to build their self-esteem. Regarding the complimentary moving services provided by TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, new Executive Director, Pamela Grimm, had this to say,

“I was told of Two Men and a Truck’s support and willingness to help us with our moves. I was overwhelmed with the commitment to make our sale and move possible. It would not have been without your help and support! Thank you and your team once again for the commitment to our community and to the women of Greater Orlando that we serve! Together we are making a huge difference in women who are working hard to find work and build a stronger more successful future.”

If you, or a 501(c)(3) organization you know, is looking for complimentary moving services, please give us a call!

March of Dimes

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® was a proud sponsor of the March of Dimes MUDD Volleyball which took place on August 19, 2017 at Lee Vista Center. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® delivered supplies and helped with the set-up of the event. The March of Dimes hoped to collect $150,000 which will be used to support programs of research, services, education and advocacy. They aim to help mothers have healthy pregnancies and give all babies a healthy start.
