Supporting East Orlando's Community
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® East Orlando is committed to the Core Value of giving back to the community. We believe it's important to use our resources and expertise to help members of the community in which we live and work. Each spring we participate in the annual Movers for Moms® collection drive to benefit women and children residing in a local shelter and we conduct a fall collection campaign to assist animals in the local animal shelter. Throughout the year we also assist local charitable organizations with complimentary moving services. If you would like to participate as a collection partner for either our spring or fall campaigns or if you know a charitable organization in need of moving services, please call our local office.
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Campaigns
Movers for Moms
One of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®’s core values is giving back to our community. Each year we participate in the Movers for Moms® program. In 2017 we partnered with Harbor House of Central Florida as our 2017 recipient. We collected over 1000 items from Pure Barre Mills Park, Pure Barre Dr. Phillips, Conway Learning Center, Kindercare and Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando. Living out our company core value of giving back to the community is something we take to heart and we will be participating in the Movers for Moms® campaign on behalf of Harbor House of Central Florida again this spring. We will begin our collection efforts in April, 2018. Please contact our office if you and your family or your place of business would like to participate.
We are happy to support many deserving organizations such as Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association and Family Promise by providing complimentary moving services. If you know of a charitable organization or non-profit who could use our services, please give us a call and we will make every attempt to accommodate your request.
Movers for Mutts
The Orlando East franchise launched its second annual Movers for Mutts campaign in early October. With Hurricane Irma, we've heard a lot about the importance of caring for one's pets during a storm. Our Movers for Mutts program recipient is Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando. We secured partnerships with Aunt B's Pet Grooming, All 4 Pets Belle Isle and Jarrett Ford to collect items from a Wish List provided by Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando. We believe it's important to give back to our community and our Movers for Mutts program is one way to accomplish that by helping our furry friends! If you would like to participate in next year's Movers for Mutts collection drive, please contact our office.
American Cancer Society
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is privileged to provide moving services to the American Cancer Society in support of the Cattle Baron's Ball fundraiser. Sarah Carlson, American Cancer Society Development Manager, was very excited that TWO MEN AND A TRUCK wanted to give back to the community in this way. By providing complimentary moving services it helps to off-set the other costs associated with fundraiser which will help raise funds to help the Society finish the fight against cancer. The event will be held at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel on Saturday, April 14.
Family Promise of Greater Orlando
Family Promise of Greater Orlando (FPGO) is a nonprofit, interfaith hospitality network providing temporary assistance, hospitality, and case management for families with children experiencing homelessness. Family Promise provides these services through the participation of local congregations, dedicated staff, and hundreds of volunteers.
March of Dimes
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® was a proud sponsor of the March of Dimes MUDD Volleyball which took place on August 19, 2017 at Lee Vista Center. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® delivered supplies and helped with the set-up of the event. The March of Dimes hoped to collect $150,000 which will be used to support programs of research, services, education and advocacy. They aim to help mothers have healthy pregnancies and give all babies a healthy start.
Orlando Chili Cookoff
The Orlando East office was excited to be a community sponsor of the 8th annual Orlando Chili Cook Off which was held on Saturday, Feb. 18 at Festival Park. Special events were a World Chili Eating Challenge, Kids' Zone and Paparazzi Zone along with a number of bands that performed throughout the day. Presented by Northwestern Mutual Greater Orlando and Orlando Weekly proceeds benefit Alex's Lemonade Stand, whose mission is to raise money and awareness of childhood cancer causes, and Kiwanis International whose members serve the specific needs of the Orlando community.
