TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Charities

MOVERS FOR MOMS® was started by TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® to help women in homeless shelters and/or victims of domestic violence. Every year we partner with local businesses to collect and deliver these donations that will aid these victims. We are looking for anything and everything from lightly used furniture, to personal hygiene items (deodorant, toothpaste, etc..), to perfume, jewelry, etc… Donations this year will aid the Halifax Urban Ministries Homeless Shelter.

MOVERS FOR MUTTS® was started by TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® in an effort to help local animal shelters support and foster stray animals. This program is hosted each fall and partners with local businesses, schools, and organizations to collect food, toys, and other essential items pets may need and this year we partners with Halifax Humane Society.

One charity that is near and dear to our heart is the American Cancer Society. Everyone knows someone that has been affected by this terrible disease and we are no different. This disease has affected us first hand and we donate thousands of dollars each year to the American Cancer Society. For every survey filled out after we complete your move we donate $1.00 to the American Cancer Society. This not only helps improve our services but it also gives back. This foundation was recently brought to our attention by the King family and it concentrates on the development and research for children diagnosed with Cancer. Cancer is a topic that hits close to home for this location. Losing family and friends to cancer as well as being a cancer survivor as well. If you have any children or grandchildren you will understand the importance of this program as you would never want to lose a loved one to this terrible disease. This year we donated to the Jordan Smelski Foundation and you can too. Whether you have a child or not this is something that “everyone needs to nose” (you will understand when you go to their website). Jordan Smelski was a young boy who passed away in our community so this hits very close to home. Please consider raising money and awareness about this topic as well so no one else is affected by this.

Toys for Tots is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve which distributes toys to children whose parents can not afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. We provide our services to pick up these items at their drop location and bring them back to their distribution area.
