Featured Community Service
Volunteers Of America
Volunteers of America (VOA) assists with health, housing, and human services to those experiencing hunger and homelessness in various ways throughout the year.
Volunteers Of America hosts OPERATION BACKPACK every summer, and they partner with the community to get thousands of backpacks and school supplies gathered for children in the Greater Sacramento Area. The backpacks get distributed to the children that the VOA serves in their various housing programs and other nonprofit organizations in the area.
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Sacramento assists VOA with moving services throughout the year by providing a couple FREE and discounted moves to relocate clients and donated furniture.
For OPERATION BACKPACK we also provide the transportation and manpower to pickup all the donated backpacks from their partners across the Sacramento Region and deliver them to VOA in time for the kids to pick out their favorite backpack before back to school. Then we and assist in getting the remaining backpacks to their partner locations for other children in need.
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Sacramento is a proud partner of Volunteers of America.

Movers for Moms®
As our Movers For Moms® donation drive wraps up for the 2024 season, we were pleased to drop off 1000 items to Saint Johns Program For Real Change. A big thank you to all the people and businesses that helped us collect donations. Keg And Cork in Roseville was our highest donation collection, and they donated $415 dollars from their tips to Saint Johns. A big thank you to Keller Williams in Roseville, Empowered People United, First American Title, Whitney High School, and many others for assisting in collecting donations as well. We look forward to collecting even more in 2025. As we dropped off the donations, we toured the facility and learned about Saint John's Businesses that provide hands-on training for its clients. Movers For Mutts®
MOVERS FOR MUTTS® Sacramento
I’d like to introduce a community program that may be of interest to you and is very dear to our hearts here at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Sacramento. Movers for Mutts® is our annual campaign hosted each fall season to support animal shelters right here in our community.
The goal of MOVERS FOR MUTTS® is to provide essential pet care items to animals living in shelters until they find their forever homes. Support from local businesses, schools, and organizations such as yours is one of many ways we’re able to make this program such a success.
This will be our second year running the program, and since we started hosting this campaign, we’ve supported Placer SPCA and Sacramento SPCA. In 2023, the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK network collected 39,153 items and 7,640 pounds of pet food for different animal shelters throughout the country. Last year, we collected 3,000 items for Sacramento SPCA, and in 2024, we hope to double that number.
“It’s a great way to secure specific donations we are in need of as we head towards the Holiday season.” - Kristine, Placer SPCA
Our campaign will start on September 16th and will run until November 1st. If you’re interested in being a community partner, all you would have to do is host a box at your office where your team members and community members can come in and drop off donations. In addition, we do ask that your team helps spread the word about the campaign through word of mouth and social media posts.
If you are interested in donating you may shop the Amazon Wish List or drop off donations starting September 16th through November 1st at the following locations:
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Sacramento- 8362 Galena Ave, Sacramento, CA 95828
(Locations will be updated as we add more partners)
If you would like to serve as a collection partner for the Movers for Mutts campaign, please contact us for more information.
