TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Campaigns
Movers for Moms®
Through Movers for Moms®, each year TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® collects thousands of food, toiletries, and clothing items for its Movers for Moms® drive benefiting WEAVE, the primary provider of crisis intervention services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in Sacramento County. The first year, we collected a slim 100 items, but last year we collected over 11,000 items! This year we aim to bring that to an outstanding 15,000 items.
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® started Movers for Moms® to ensure all moms are given the attention and appreciation they deserve on Mother's Day no matter what the circumstances. Movers for Moms® in Sacramento started in 2007 and has grown to cover the surrounding Sacramento region to include donation collection sites all over the greater Sacramento metropolitan area.
The Alzheimer's Association is a non-profit voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support, and research. Their mission is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through advanced research in order to improve and enhance care, as well as, support all who are affected by this disease. Every July, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Sacramento partners up with The Alzheimer's Association to provide free moving services and labor.
Elk Grove Food Bank Services
At the end of every year, we assist the Elk Grove Community Food Bank by sending our men and trucks to local schools all across Elk Grove to pick up hundreds of pounds of canned goods which are collected during their annual Kids Can Food Drive.
Habitat For Humanity
We assist Habitat For Humanity in transporting large shipments of material needed for their projects. Founded in 1976 by Millard and Linda Fuller, Habitat For Humanity is a world leader in addressing the issues of poor housing conditions.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a nonprofit organization which grants the wishes of children diagnosed with a critical illness. We do our part in assisting with their annual large-scale events by offering in-kind services like transporting supplies to event locations, moving them forward.
Strategies To Empower People
Strategies To Empower People or S.T.E.P. is an organization whose goal is to give those with mental or physical limitations a normal life by giving them resources for employment and living accommodations. We supply moves as often as they need with a discount.
The Mentor Network
The Mentor Network is a collection of volunteers and staff that gives health and human service aid to anyone, from children to adults. They have provided caregivers, daycare for either children or the elderly, and assistance in locating housing in the past to people in need. Their network of staff and volunteers are all built upon trust between the individuals they serve and their families.
