Dedication to Community Service in Metro Phoenix
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Campaigns
MOVERS FOR MOMS
We are proud to support the community in which we work and live, and actively participate in the annual Movers for Moms® program, in which we partner with local businesses to collect essential care items for women living in local homeless or domestic abuse shelters around the time of Mother’s Day.
4 PAWS RESCUE SHELTER
4 Paws is a no-kill, non-profit, rescue shelter for cats. They operate entirely on volunteer work and provide temporary care in either foster homes or in a permanent shelter while facilitating adoption for the animals. They also cooperate with other shelters dedicated to the rescue and care of animals in need. Income is provided by adoptions, memberships, fundraising events, and sales from their boutique. We have partnered with 4 Paws since 2010 to provide our services to pick up furniture and other items, once a month, to be sold at the boutique.
ARIZONA MILITARY ASSISTANCE MISSION
The Arizona Military Assistance Mission, or AZMAM, was founded to provide financial and morale aid to active duty military, their families, and wounded warriors regardless of their deployment status. They are dedicated to their mission and that is something we can relate to as well as support. Each Fall since 2015, it has been our honor to have worked together with AZMAM and the other TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® franchises in the valley to collect toys for the children of the military families at Luke Air Force Base.
HOSPICE OF THE VALLEY
Hospice of the Valley is Arizona's leading end-of-life care organization. They are among the oldest and largest non-profit hospices. Their mission is to provide comfort and dignity as life nears its end. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Northwest-Phoenix has a strong relationship with the senior citizens we serve and we value that relationship greatly. We are always happy to help Hospice of the Valley as they share our value in caring for our seniors.
NATIONAL OVARIAN CANCER COALITION
The National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, or NOCC, is an organization committed to increasing awareness and educating communities about the symptoms of ovarian cancer. They also provide information and support to newly-diagnosed patients, survivors, and caregivers. We were given the opportunity to support NOCC by transport equipment, boxes, and materials for a charity walk in our community.
PEORIA DIAMOND CLUB
The Peoria Diamond Club is a local non-profit that uses their ties to the Seattle Mariners and the San Diego Padres to generate tens of thousands of dollars each year to benefit local youth charities. Since their start in 1993, they have donated nearly $1,800,000 to our local community organizations. We have been lucky to work with the Peoria Diamond Club in a toy drive to benefit current military families at Luke Air Force Base as well as joining them for an event on Veterans Day to benefit veterans and their families.
UMOM is a local shelter for families in need. Their mission is to prevent and end homelessness with innovative strategies and housing solutions that meet the unique needs of each family and individual. They provide emergency shelter, transitional housing, and permanent, affordable housing. We were fortunate enough to connect with them and provide moves for families that need help transitioning out of dangerous or unhealthy living conditions.
