We've officially made it through our first big storm of 2026, and although TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Bentonville has been dealing with this for the last 20 years, you may be new to the area- or at least new to moving in snow. If that's the case, we'd love to share what we've learned so far to help you get through a less than ideal situation.
No matter where you live around Northwest Arkansas, frozen driveways and black ice on ramps are always a risk during moves. Some areas require extra caution:
- Bella Vista- Steep, windy roads and shaded hills mean ice can linger even after main roads seem clear. Maneuvering large trucks is especially challenging during snow or ice events.
- Fayettville- Roads and neighborhoods surrounding the University of Arkansas require careful navigation and busy on ramps increase chances of slipping on black ice when getting on and off the interstate.
- Northern Rogers/ Beaver lake neighborhoods: Less traveled streets stay icier longer and may not be maintained as quickly as in town
- Springdale, Lowell, Gracette and cave Springs: narrow streets, older roads and occasional sleet or freezing rain add extra hazards.

- Clear and salt driveways, walkways, and stairs before movers arrive.
- Make sure parking and access points are free of ice.
- Communicate any concerns about steep or tricky areas in advance so we can plan accordingly.
Worst case scenerio:
Even with precautions, extreme winter conditions can sometimes force a reschedule- either at your request or if roads are unsafe for our crews. While rare, we might decide this is the safest option. But our goal is to always minimize delays.
Winter moving may require extra planning, patience, and flexibility, but the result will be a safe, efficient, and stress-free move.
