MOVERS FOR MOMS® is TWO MEN AND A TRUCK’s national program held every spring in honor of Mother’s Day. Its goal is to raise awareness and collect essential items for mothers in need in communities across the country. Last year, 233,000 items were donated to hundreds of shelters across the country nationally.
What is one of the most essential items mothers need to care for their children? Diapers. When researching diaper banks in our area, we discovered Bundles of Hope. We connected with Bundles of Hope's founder, Lindsay Gray, and learned that one in three families in Alabama struggles to afford diapers. This basic need is not covered by most social welfare programs.
Our TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Birmingham office partnered with different businesses across our city from Trussville to Pelham to help collect diapers. Donations will be accepted through Tuesday, May 9.
