More than 443,000 items collected during Movers for Moms® 2023, making it our most successful campaign to date!

Giving back to the community is one of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®’s core values. So, it’s no surprise that TWO MENAND A TRUCK franchises are always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need, and they did just that this spring with the annual Movers for Moms® campaign.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK U.S. franchises collected more than 443,000 items making it the most successful Movers for Moms campaign to date! Once all items were collected and sorted, franchise moving crews nationwide delivered them to more than 150 shelters around Mother’s Day.

Angela Drake, general manager for the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Sioux Falls, S.D., location, has run the Movers for Moms campaign for the past eight years, and her favorite part this year was the excitement from her team and the outpouring support from her amazing community.

The Sioux Falls franchise supported EmBe Dress for Success and collected 70,044 items.

“[I was proud of] how many businesses we were able to partner with to make this huge gift happen to help so many women enter and re-enter the workforce,” Drake said. “We were also able to expand the exposure of our partner charity to receive more volunteers because of the media attention.”

To try and collect as many donations as possible for the shelters, franchises work with local businesses, schools, and other organizations and provide them with collection boxes. This year, more than 1,200 collection sites helped spread the word about the campaign and collect donations.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Gulf Coast, Miss., Sales & Marketing Manager Emily Sham said she was proud of having 51 drop off locations this year that spanned close to 55 miles east to west.

“We covered a lot of ground. I have always had 20-30 drop off locations, but this year exceeded that,” Sham said. “I even had people reaching out to me halfway through the program wanting to participate, they walked into a local donut shop that had a box, and they wanted a box as well! It was so amazing to see our community rally behind us, and give back to those moms in need.”

As we wrap up year 16, it’s amazing to see how much Movers for Moms has grown. From starting out as a program in 2007 with 20 Michigan franchises, to expanding in 2014 making Movers for Moms a national program for all U.S. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK locations.

We look forward to helping more moms in need and having another successful campaign next spring.
