Budget-friendly projects to give your home instant curb appeal

Written by Jessy Howe

It’s officially spring which means the only thing many of us want to do is get outside to enjoy the sunshine, breathe in the fresh air, and begin working around the house. Thanks to this wonderful time of year, we’ve compiled our favorite budget-friendly project ideas to give your home instant curb appeal!

Update your front door

Give your home an easy update by putting a fresh coat of paint on the door. This is a much easier update than repainting your entire home and selecting a bright, fun door color can easily transform your look.

Detail the garage

Add simple hardware for extra detail or channel your inner Joanna Gaines and build a pergola. Go big or go home, right?

Welcome in your guests

And yourself for that matter. Decorate your porch space by hanging a wreath or welcome sign, setting out flower pots, replacing your old door mat, cleaning your door, and touching up paint if needed.

Add shutters

Spruce up those boring windows by adding nice, new shutters. If you’re feeling extra ambitious, add flower boxes for good measure.

Plant flowers

Perhaps one of the easiest and cheapest things you can do is plant flowers and spruce up your landscaping. Before purchasing flats of flowers or potted plants, be sure to think about where you’d like them so you know if you’ll be buying for full sun or partial shade.

Edge your flower beds

Use stones, bricks, or timber to close in your flower beds. This will give your landscaping a fresh clean look and you’ll protect your flowers while mowing the lawn.
