Insurance can only be sold by someone trained and licensed to sell insurance. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK is not trained or licensed to sell insurance, therefore we don’t offer insurance for customers to purchase.
Your mover is liable for the value of the goods you ask them to transport while in their care, custody, and control. There are, however, different levels of liability. Please contact your local office for valuation options and pricing.
Yes! It is required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration to be fully insured, and accordingly we carry insurance in the federally-required amounts for public liability, property damage, and cargo loss and damage. This coverage protects against catastrophic loss, fires, and damage caused by external sources.
You do have the option of purchasing insurance from a third-party insurance company, outside of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK. Before purchasing insurance, check your homeowner's insurance policy to see if you're already covered.
Yes, but you must identify exactly the items for which the coverage is purchased, and declare a corresponding increase in the value of your household goods shipment, before we begin your move.
Even with additional valuation coverage, items with a value greater than $100/pound, such as jewelry, coins, stamps, and other highly valuable items, must be individually identified and their value declared before you move. Be sure to ask your mover about these items, because without identification, even with additional valuation coverage, such items included in your household goods shipment are limited to a maximum value of $100/pound.
We offer additional valuation coverage as an optional benefit to our customers who want it. We just want to make sure YOU have a choice. We will ask you to sign an acknowledgement for the valuation coverage you choose so we both understand your express selection of that level of valuation.
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK reserves the right to repair any damaged goods, or replace, them with items of like kind and quality at our discretion.
