Involvement in our Plymouth community

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Sheboygan County is dedicated to supporting our community throughout the year.  We work with organizations to provide donations and moving services in order to keep our partnerships operating to help others in need.

Local Partners

GE COMMUNITY SERVICE DAY

In 2014, we had the pleasure of partnering with GE Healthcare for their 20th annual community service project, where approximately 2,500 GE employees spent one day improving Milwaukee and Waukesha public schools. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Milwaukee volunteered time and two trucks which were used to deliver tools and equipment to each of the schools. This service project included painting of the schools, landscaping the exterior, cleaning of school grounds and property, and other projects which were all part of preparing the schools for the upcoming year.

WISCONSIN BREAST CANCER COALITION, “RARE CHAIR AFFAIR”

Wisconsin Breast Cancer Coalition’s event, The “Rare Chair Affair”, needed some assistance in transporting items from one location to the next.  In 2014, we donated our services to help their cause-worthy event.  Each year, they invite 15 to 20 breast cancer survivors to participate in workshops throughout the summer to paint and decorate chairs for this event’s live auction.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK PROVIDES SUPPORT TO WISCONSIN HUMANE SOCIETY GALA

The Wisconsin Humane Society will host its annual Paws & Claws Gala in person at the Pfister Hotel on Oct. 16, after holding the event virtually last year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Plymouth joins TWO MEN AND TRUCK Milwaukee in donating in-kind services to support the event.

The evening will feature silent and live auctions, raffles and games, a wine pull, a photo booth, and of course, furry and feathered friends dressed in their best red carpet glam. All proceeds from the event enable us to continue the Humane Society' mission to care for animals in need.

“It’s a fantastic event and a wonderful organization,” said Tim Lightner, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchise owner. “I can’t wait to see the dogs all dressed and behaving with their owners. I only wish my three Westies could be part of the fun!”

Ever since his wife Sheri first introduced him to her dog Pebbles, Lightner became “a dog guy.”

“I didn’t know what I was missing before our Westies came into my life,” he said. “There’s something truly awe-inspiring about the unconditional love of an animal. Our dogs are part of the family—maybe more than I am!” he joked.

Lightner also said he marvels at the wide array of animals the Wisconsin Humane Society cares for, from dogs and cats to birds, rats, and more.
