Herndon Community Involvement

Through our Do Good Program, we allocate 1% of each move to local programs throughout the greater Washington D.C. metro area. Just over $23,000 in case and in-kind resources have been donated to Dress For Success, Bread For The City, The Yellow Ribbon Fund, New Hope Housing, Make-A-Wish, The Boys and Girls Club Of America, Friends Of Fairfax County Animal Shelters, The Safety and Health Foundation, and Special Olmpics Virginia (SOVA).

Special Olympics Virginia (SOVA)

We have partnered with Savers FunDrive and  Special Olympics Virginia (SOVA) to raise donations to send a special athlete to the 2018 Special Olympics. With the help of Meridian at Carlyle and Meridian at Braddock Station, we were able to collect over 30 boxes of donations! These donations will be turned into funds to help send the athlete to the Special Olympics, where they will receive free medical attention and to compete in the games!

Movers For Moms®

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® franchises worldwide have made it their mission to recognize and help moms in need. Statistics show that more than 60 percent of homeless women are mothers and are in need of support for them and their children. Every year, around Mother’s Day, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Northern Virginia collect and donate essential care items to moms and their children living in shelters. We understand how important a mother’s role is and we want them to know that we are here to help! 2018 will  mark our 10 year anniversary for TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, and our friends at Kendrick Court Apartments, Gold's Gym at Cascades,(opens in a new window) and the student organization at George Mason University called Chase Dreams Not Boys (CDNB) helped our team raise donations for Facets(opens in a new window)!

American Cancer Societies' Making Strides Against Breast Cancer DC 2024

The American Cancer Society held its Annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk this past weekend at Rugby Field. With the Washington Monument in the distance, and beautiful weather, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® team members assisted in loading and unloading the event, as well as Office Staff representing TMT at the event passing out goodies such as Pens, Cups, Frisbees, and more! Thank you again to the American Cancer Society for putting on such a rewarding event, and always going above and beyond to shed light on this important issue.

Our crew was asked to help the American Cancer Society set up the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Event in Washington DC at the Tidal Basin! Starting on October 21st, our crew set up the event, and on October 23rd, we were able to actually attend the event, and show off the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK brand! We had our own table to give out some swag, and Truckie did the entire two-mile Breast Cancer Walk! We were amazed at how many walkers came out to support this amazing cause! We cannot wait to come back next year!

The Big Dig Pediatric Cancer Event in Ashburn, Virginia was such an exciting event for us! The kids loved hanging out with Truckie, and had a blast with the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK footballs, cups, and coloring books! We were so grateful to have attended an event with such a meaningful cause, such as pediatric cancer!
