Hardwood floors was scratched in the kitchen, hallway, and front door. movers had no idea how to disconnect water line for fridge, no experience with moving appliances. Older mover, Chris, was very overweight with bad body odor, the younger guy, Eric, had to be told what to do every step of the way, I paid by the hour, watching the 2 guys moving my items was disappointing to say the least. The office was friendly, didn't give the updates moving instructions to the movers, reimbursing policy for damaging customers belongs is a joke.

Not all of our furniture was wrapped. As a result we have a scratched antique chair, a scratched table ( both have very visible marks now), and scuffs on our freshly painted walls. We asked them to put down their runners on our entries because the landings had been recently painted. They it down our yoga mats, which the sun glued to the paint. Both landings had to be repainted and the mats are ruined. Our quote was off because although we discussed stairs repeatedly over the phone and never was the word elevator mentioned, the movers were told there was an elevator. They weren’t happy from the start.

I thought it would be a good experience since the man on the phone was so quick to quote me a price. However at no time did anyone ask to come and see what was being moved. The breaks taken and the extra time In Between move were unacceptable. The coercion to receive tips and the complaint about the furniture was scary. The the damage to the home was unacceptable and not even mentioned. The fact that the company decides on price does not mean that I should actually have over 300.00 added to the bill. And then to be told that someone would call me on Monday and nothing g happen makes me not want to do business with this company again.

1st truck couldn't get up my drive, men didn't know I was using TMT storage so confusion and 4 hours delay, tracked mud in my house repeatedly, slow, left furniture in house and had to come back next day, moved furniture out of sliding doors which were actually windows and damaged woodwork, poked hole in ceiling with poster bed, didn't know how to take apart bed so we helped, the 2nd crew the 2nd day didn't know how to take apart bed so we did it for them, inexperienced members on both crews, each storage unit I was told would hold 1 1/2 rooms, I was rented 6 units for 5 rooms of furniture, the second day I had to come back to richmond and wait all day for them to arrive, that day should have been free, 1st driver first day was rude, he had the truck that had bar not allow him up drive.

Several expensive items were broken, mechanism in my chair no longer works properly, tv screen fracture, floors scraped. Woman in office promise to call yesterday did not happen. Took 11 hours when it was at most a 6 hour job.

During our move we had several things happen involving mishandling of our furniture that made me frustrated with the service provided as a whole. The first mishap occurred within the first half hour of our move where a piece of our bedroom furniture was broken while in the process of being placed into the truck. Also, following the completion of our move and the team leaving our house, I came across a deep scratch that was made in our living room floor to which I know was not there before this moving process because the hardwood floors were brand new when we purchased the home. I also noticed that our main light fixture in our master bedroom had been bent from furniture hitting it. Both incidents I was not made aware of by the staff and find it hard to believe they did not notice them.

Movers arrived on time, and called before. Which was good. They came with no tools to pull my bed apart which was hard to move the way it is. It added a lot of time to the day. The bed ended up with 3 holes in the upholstery and loose screws they could not tighten later without tools. The movers kept bickering with each other over which way to load items into the new place. Which also added time. They seemed to have no plan and did not work as a team. They were very nice, but seemed to have no skills or experience. They did deduct some time for the bed moving part, however I did not think the hour estimate was correct due to all the unproductiveness and inefficiency.

I hate giving poor ratings , however there were very sentimental pieces that where broken. Things that I wrapped pretty good and marked fragile, so the only way that they were broken is by being tossed. Also my dresser was chipped and headboard scratched. What I will rate as excellent is Cj's performance. He was a one man show. Absolutely awesome young man! He lifted the couch by himself, moved very heavy items by himself and basically did most of the on-loading himself. Darrell informed me that he was injured. Why come to work then? He said if he hadn't, my move would not have happend. Hmm. To his credit, he did off-load and carry heavy boxes into the new location. Because of one injured mover, one hour was taken off of my price which was very thoughtful. Overall, great job! And fast!

This move was my worst nightmare. As a disabled combat veteran US Marine, I first believe in honor and trust. I expect the same. I ignored the numerous red flags of not being on time. Nothing went right from the beginning. Eight hours late, a mover was moving my bed and was dropping it on the ground, and most of all two of the most important pieces were broken. A $3,500 bed from Ethan Allen in perfect condition was broken beyond repair. A $2,500.00 armoire was broken at the center support base, and there was little regard to the issues. They only stated they were tired and had been working all day. Not my problem. The only fair thing that occurred was they did compensate me for the time I had an employee waiting for them to arrive. What happens next? I have no clue, but we will see.

My husband had used your company in the past and was pleased, so we decided to use you for this move. The movers were very pleasant and accommodating, however, they were very “rough” with my furniture even toppling over my corner cupboard which resulted in breaking flooring baseboard. I have never had a mover do structural damage to my home and I have moved at least 10 times!! After unpacking boxes that were labeled “fragile,” I found two broken glass dishes. Also, an antique desk had a huge scratch on the top that one of your movers even noticed! It was a very frustrating experience, however, I do appreciate that I was reimbursed for the repair work that had to be done. It was a completely unnecessary stress that should never have happened by “professional “ movers.
