Moving Services

Virtual Estimates

This has been a challenging year, to say the least. We are now offering 100% virtual moving estimates via FaceTime, Google Duo, or Skype! We have adopted every new process possible to ensure that our customers are safe and comfortable when planning their next move. If there is anything more we can do to accommodate your special request, please feel free to reach out to our office.

Your belongings are safe with us!

Have you ever tried to cook a turkey in the microwave? We wouldn’t recommend it. Point being, we believe that a job is completed in a more efficient fashion when the proper tools are utilized. All of our movers and drivers are provided with state-of-the-art moving equipment and well-equipped new trucks to ensure reliability, efficiency, and the safety of your items.

Boxes and Packing Supplies

Large boxes, small boxes, wardrobe boxes, dish pack boxes...we have it all! Our boxes are purposefully built with thick corrugated cardboard, unlike the boxes you will find at the big box stores. This may not seem like a big deal until you try and stack a few boxes and then realize the bottom box is smashed flatter than a halibut in a limbo contest. Check out the graphic below to get a quick estimate of how many boxes you might need. Happy packing!

Senior Moving

Moving with seniors is a unique and sensitive process that we take very seriously. So seriously that we have built our business around the cornerstone principle we like to call, THE GRANDMA RULE®. This rule states that we will treat everyone we move with the exact same respect that we would give to our very own Grandma.

We also have local relationships with nearly all the Santa Fe elderly care facilities and understand the details and intricacies of moving into and out of each of the facilities. We take the title of "Movers Who Care®" very seriously. When you begin planning your move with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® you will work with a dedicated Relocation Specialist that will assist you in every step of the move. This person will be your go-to partner for all questions throughout the process of the relocation.

Long Distance moving

One of the most common questions we get is 'Do you move cross-country?' We sure do! Although we may seem like a small local moving company, we have been successfully completing cross-country moves for over 25 years!  When you move with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK long distance, you will receive a level of service that is quite different from the larger van lines. We like to refer to it as a 'white glove' level of service. Your items will never share a truck with another person's belongings and your moving team will be the same from start to finish. You will know the exact dates and times that your items will be moved and delivered to your new residence. If you have ever moved with a large van line, you know how important this is! Experience the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK difference on your next long-distance move. We promise you will be happy you did!

Specialty item moves

A 10,000-pound, 1/8 scale replica of Bumblebee, the transformer? We moved it. An entire truck full of rare African taxidermy animals? Also moved it. An entire arcade of antique pinball games? Yep, we moved it! Specialty items such as these require lots of planning, but there are many other large items that we move on a daily basis. Here is a list of a few common large items that we can and cannot move. Don't see your item on this list? No worries! Give us a call and we can chat about some options to get you taken care of.

What we CAN move:

  • Safes under 1,000 pounds (special accommodations may be made for larger safes)
  • Spinet pianos, baby grand pianos, and upright pianos
  • Two-piece slate pool tables (slate must be crated)
  • Non-slate pool tables
  • Industrial exercise equipment
  • Fireproof file cabinets
  • Gun lathes
  • Arcade games

What we CANNOT move:

  • Safes over 1,000 pounds (without special arrangement)
  • Grand pianos
  • One-piece slate pool tables
  • Tanning beds

A few tips for your big move

Moving day! The excitement of starting a new chapter of your life is matched only by the dread of packing up all your belongings and hauling them across town or even across the country. But fear not, my dear friend! With the help of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, you can make this day a breeze. Here are a few tips to help you make the most of your moving day and keep your sanity intact:

  1. Don't wait until the last minute to pack! This is the golden rule of moving day. Start packing as soon as possible, and don't forget to label your boxes with the contents and the room they belong to. Your movers will love you for it!

  2. Keep your pets safely secured in a separate room. We all love our furry friends, but moving can be stressful for them too. It’s best to keep them out of the way to avoid any escapes.

  3. Communicate with the movers: When the movers arrive, make sure you communicate clearly with them about your expectations. Let them know where everything goes and any special instructions you have.

  4. Get rid of stuff you don't need. Moving is the perfect time to declutter your home and get rid of things you no longer use or need. You'll save money on moving costs and make room for new things in your new place.

  5. Make sure you have a plan for our team to follow. They’ll need to know where to park, which entrance to use, and any other details that will help make the move go smoothly.

  6. Pack a survival kit: Moving day can be hectic, so make sure you pack a survival kit with all the essentials you'll need for the day. This might include snacks, water, phone chargers, and anything else you'll need to keep yourself going.

  7. Finally, take a moment to breathe and enjoy the experience. Moving can be exciting, and it’s a chance to start a new chapter in your life. Embrace the change, and have fun with it!
