Giving Back - Its in our DNA

Our goal has always been to not just be a local moving company, but a local company that is truly part of the Greenville community.  We love to partner with other area businesses as a campaign to truly give back to our neighbors.  That is why we are so passionate about our local charity drives; Movers for Moms® and Toys for Tots.

Movers for Moms®

Movers for Moms® is an annual promotion designed to accept non-perishable donations for mothers and their children who are victims of domestic violence.  This program has been greatly successful as we have been fortunate to partner with several apartment complexes and businesses in Pitt and Wilson Counties. . This year we had 17 donation sites and collected over 5000 items that were delivered to the Pitt County Center for Family Violence Protection(opens in a new window) and the Wesley Shelter(opens in a new window) in Wilson!  We would like to thank everyone who was involved in our Movers for Moms campaign in 2018. Thanks to you, we almost doubled the number of donations from last year! This was a huge success! Check out the news piece that appeared on WNCT in conjunction with this awesome program.

Partners in Pitt and Wilson County Communities

Our mission from Day 1 has to build a Company that is a part of the greater Greenville, Wilson, and Rocky Mount communities. One of our Franchisees, Brian Churney, has been an integral member of the Greenville-Pitt County Chamber of Commerce(opens in a new window) since our Company's inception in 2008, serving as on the Board of Directors and as an Ambassador for much of that time. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® has also been a partner of East Carolina University for several years and we look forward to continuing that relationship for years to come. Our team has also been heavily involved in the Wilson Chamber of Commerce(opens in a new window).

Toys for Tots

Toys for Tots is another community-driven initiative that has seen great success in and around Greenville.  We recently partnered with BOB 93.3 FM(opens in a new window) on a toy drive as one of their On Air personalities, Robyn Banks, broadcasted live from the back of one of our Moving trucks for over 13 hours!  It is this type of dedication that makes local companies like BOB 93.3 FM perfect partners as we all work to make Greenville a better place.

Home Run for hunger

For the last 2 years, TWO MEN AND A TUCK OF Eastern North Carolina has partnered with the Wilson Tobs in their food drive, Home Run for Hunger. Historic Fleming Stadium in Wilson hosts several events throughout the season where food items are collected culminating in a featured event where food items can be donated in lieu of a ticket to a ball game. Many businesses and local organizations donate food and this year's main event cleared 30,000 lbs of food to be donated to local pantries. This is a great cause and a great partnership and we look forward to helping the program grow in the future!

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Campaigns

Movers For Moms®

MOVERS FOR MOMS® is TWO MEN AND A TRUCK’s national giving program aimed at assisting moms in need. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK locations nationwide collect donations to deliver to women’s and family shelters each spring. Franchises partner with various organizations to collect these items to make Mother’s Day special for all moms, regardless of their circumstances.

This year, we're partnering with The Center For Family Violence Prevention and The Wesley Shelter. We'll also be partnering with local businesses and organizations to collect essential care and comfort items throughout the month of April and up until the week of Mother's Day so that we can bring a little joy to these mothers in need. During the week of May 6th, we'll round up all of the donations and deliver them to the shelter just before Mother's Day, May 12th.

The items we're looking to collect and donate include:

  • Used Women's Clothing
  • Used Furniture
  • Cleaning Supplies
  • Personal Care Products (soaps, lotions, etc..)
  • Toiletries
  • Baby/Childcare Items (diapers, wipes, clothing, etc..)
  • School Supplies
  • Non-Perishable Snack Foods

The following locations will be accepting donations between now and May 8th:

  • TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Greenville
  • Children's World Learning Center, Arlington Blvd
  • Children's World Learning Center, Greenville Blvd
  • Children's World Learning Center, John's Hopkins
  • Walton Academy
  • Treybrooke Apartments
  • The Pointe at Wimbledon
  • The Heritage
  • Waterford Place
  • The Berkeley at Medford Pointe
  • 904 West

Make your mother proud this year by supporting this wonderful cause!

Local Partners

Churches Outreach Network

For several years, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK of Eastern North Carolina has partnered with Pastor Coles and the Churches Outreach Network on a number of community service projects. Whether it is transporting donations for a Toys for Tots collection drive, moving disabled veterans into new homes, sending emergency supplies to areas impacted by natural disasters, or getting PPE to front line workers, Pastor Coles is always doing his best to help where help is needed and TWO MEN AND A TRUCK is fortunate to have found a spot in his process where we can contribute. And the partnership is a two-way street as the Churches Outreach Network also helps us distribute winter coats as part of our annual Truckload of Warmth® collection drive. Pastor Coles often says "service is the rent you pay to God for the space you take up on earth".  We have bought into that concept and have found a life long partner and friend in the name of giving back to our community.

Home Run for Hunger

Once again, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK is partnering with the Wilson Tobs and to support their Home Run for Hunger food drive! The annual project aims to collect and distribute canned goods for local food pantries to help those less fortunate. Since the food drive’s inception, the Wilson community has banded together for one day and collected thousands of pounds of food. And officials say they know the community will do the same for the entire season. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK is a sponsor of the drive and provides boxes to collect food at various sporting events throughout the year. Thank you to the Wilson Tobs for supporting such a great cause!
