Movers in the New Orleans community

Movers for Moms®

We participate annually in the Movers for Moms® program, and partner with local schools and businesses to gather donations for mothers in need right here in our community. Donations are collected annually during the months of March through May. We’re proud to report that this year, we've collected more than 500 items for local moms and in 2016 we collected over 1,500!

Partnerships and organizations

When it comes to community, it's important to get involved and help those in need. Here are a few of the local organizations TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Metairie partners with:

Second Harvest Food Bank

We love that their mission is to end hunger in South Louisiana by providing food access, advocacy, education, and disaster response.

Covenant House new orleans

This year TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® New Orleans teamed up with the Covenant House New Orleans. We donated the boxes used as the "mattresses" for the 5th Annual "Sleep Out" on November 10, 2016. 160 community leaders sat in small groups with our young people, offering advice & encouragement, before spending the night on the sidewalk to show their solidarity and support.

Concerned Citizens of Louisiana

We teamed up with the Concerned Citizens of Louisiana, Inc. to collect blankets for the flood victims on the Northshore earlier this year. Our donation of over 300 blankets were greatly appreciated by those in need.

Cheeriodicals

We have partnered with Cheeriodicals to deliver hundred of "cheer-up" gifts to Children's Hospital of New Orleans. These events bring joy to hospitals full of children and we love being a part of this amazing charity!

JLNO's Touch a Truck

We participated in JLNO's fifth annual Touch a Truck event at the New Orleans Lakefront Airport this past March. The next event is November 4, 2017 and we hope everyone can make it out with their children for a day of fun!
